  1. Anyone have any input since this post's start? They are having another BOGO right now. Bumping the thread for updates.
  2. The opposite of what your brother is throwing
  3. I have a 6'8" Medium Fast St. Croix Rage that I use for topwater. I love it for my walking baits because I can walk it without it hitting the water. I don't think they make the Rage anymore, but you can still get it online. I have a Premier for my Crankbait rod and that's a great rod too.
  4. Congratulations on the most unintelligent response in the topic. Based on the other responses I'm getting, not such a dumb question. But thanks for the help!
  5. Im asking generally. I don't tournament fish but I've been watching the flw tours on YouTube and am noticing guys going back to the same spots over and over and was just wondering why the bass stay there
  6. Preparing for tournaments, you often see or hear of guys searching out schools and marking them to return 2 or even 3 days later on the tournament days. My question is, how do you know those fish will still be in that spot? Why don't they move? How often do they move? Would they stay a whole season, or just a day?
  7. I'm in New Egypt. Same as my brother. JoeD320.
  8. I don't know. Lake Fork Guy said he was using 20lb Fluro with the Curado 70 and he cast out and his lure and all the line followed lol
  9. I am looking at the Tatula Tactical which is on sale. Was looking at the Curado 70 but am concerned about the line capacity.
  10. I'm looking for a reel now to pair with the Tatula rod I ordered for worms and jigs, and have decided to go with shimano or Daiwa $200 would be the most I could spend and that's pushing it. I don't really know exactly what to look for. They all kind of boast the same thing.
  11. What is the general line capacity ya'll think is the standard necessary for fishing deep jigs long casts like 30 ft deep?
  12. Gotcha. So what you're saying in not so many words is that in using bass fishing as an example if you were using say 15lb test line, a 10 lb drag system is moot because the line would break long before the drag system is ever stressed. Am I right?
  13. Hmmm... I'll have to consider all that as I shop for my new Jig Reel. Guess you can't always listen to the guys getting paid BY the reel company to tell you what you need lol
  14. I don't disagree, I just was under the impression that when fishing in heavy cover or deep the extra drag is need for getting the fish out of the junk or from deep water.
