  1. Do you find long is otherwise beneficial in any way, ie easier to get precision cuts or get in there closely?
  2. Got those, they are good as well but sort of cumbersome on a kayak.
  3. I’ve been using the short but wondering if longer isn’t easier
  4. Sweet, ya I tried these over the weekend and they work but the large ball head creates a sort of bulbous, irregular shaped head that I’m not sure I’m crazy about. I don’t suppose they make one like you have made with a tube head?
  5. Interesting point, yeah everyone says they push up on the bank in muddy water. Do you find they also go up in shallow current seams?
  6. The classic chartreuse spinnerbait with painted blades performs unparalleled in muddy water. Even though I know trailers are a small part of the picture and probably make minimal difference, I am doing this for myself and the simple enjoyment of maximizing visibility. People say dark plastics in stain & bright hard baits. Yet the chartreuse/white seems to be a better fit. Which would you think is a better choice?
  7. I don’t need bigger I need smaller lol. I even tried the #1 Nedlockz and they don’t fit either.
  8. I have exhausted my search for a stupid tube jig that fits the short 2.75” fat tubes. At this point I’m facing either upsizing to something like Blue Rock’s 3.5” stupid rig or using a ball head EWG. If so, what size do you recommend for KVD 2.75” fat coffee tubes? Looking at these two brands, although leaning toward the BKK as it’s available in 1/4. Is 2/0 probably the best fit? https://discounttackle.com/products/owner-ultrahead-finesse-ball-jig-head https://discounttackle.com/products/bkk-silent-chaser-1x-ewg-round-head-hook
  9. Thanks friend, yeah I find spawn very frustrating too. It makes it even worse when everyone keeps reminding you about how it is supposed to be the “best time of the year.”
  10. I had been looking far and wide for the perfect crank and I think I finally found it in the Bill Lewis ATV 1.5. Perfect weight (1/2 oz) for the setup I want to throw it on, beautiful paint and craftsmanship, and still small and compact profile for river smallmouth. I got it in the water yesterday and while it casts beautifully, I noticed it has a much tighter wobble than most squarebills I’ve thrown. However, I am pretty sure it still searches left to right on retrieve, as I see my line go back and forth in the water. Just making sure this is the case, and in your experience, do you find any particular wobble more effective for river smallmouth?
  11. Ordered and received, it is the correct one thank you! This is exactly what I wanted, 1/2 oz crankbait with a pretty paint job and a loud rattle chamber, in a variety of colors. Thanks again!! Kind of irritating they have it listed improperly everywhere.
  12. Can you link me to the specific listing? Exactly yet see the poster above his packaging and personally weighing it say 1/2. Very stupid that this isn’t more clear, what is up with these companies.
  13. Where did you order from? I am so confused on where to get, look at this on Amazon’s Bill Lewis store: https://www.amazon.com/Squarebill-Crankbait-Lifelike-Freshwater-Saltwater/dp/B0C3RXTL8Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_3
  14. Oh ok, strange that a company as big as BPS would make this sort of error. Also irritating that I can’t seem to get ahold of Discount Tackle to confirm before placing an order.
  15. https://discounttackle.com/products/bill-lewis-atv-squarebill This is listed as ATV 1.5 and 3/8. Mistyped you think?
  16. Can anyone confirm which of these is accurate? TW and a *** review say 1/2 oz, BPS and Discount Tackle say 3/8.
