  1. Inconsiderate people fishing that think they can cut you off or think you are fishing "their" spot
  2. I fished with my brother for years out of his boat, still do. He would always position the boat (whenever possible) for both of us to fish. Since I got my boat its the same regardless of who is behind me. We are both there to fish and have a good time.
  3. 24v always go with the bigger when it comes to motors. You can always slow it down but you can't speed up under powered motors.
  4. Agreed very peaceful! nothing like pulling that bass up when you are sitting at water level
  5. Having a vacation home on the lake has been the best purchase. I've owned it for 7years now. Love it! We talked about it for quite of few years and decided what are we waiting for? We want to use it before we are to old, so we purchased and haven't looked back. We told ourselves and still believe if we ever stop going then we will sell it. I don't see us selling anytime soon. It is so nice to have the boat on a lift. Previously, I would pass sometimes on fishing because I only had an hour or so, now I can fish for an hour or so and have the boat back on the lift in no time. Great purchase and I would do it again.
  6. When I bought a boat in 2016 the dealer said they were putting "these" batteries in, if I wanted something different then I would pay the difference. I was fine with that, I would think a new boat should have batteries.
  7. It's interesting when I take the kayak out, I only take 3 rods at the most depending on what and where I am fishing. In the boat it will be 10-15 rods with all the tackle. However, in the boat I still usually only use maybe 3 rods.
  8. Seems like when I order something online I'm usually a few dollars away from free shipping. So I will buy a color that I normally wouldn't buy. Lime green and white worm has worked well.
  9. I relearned that I should retie my lures after so many fish, especially when that is the last one of a certain a lure in the boat.
  10. This thread is depressing, I know the snow still has to come.
  11. You should have been here yesterday
  12. When tying those on and I get the salt on my fingers, they seem very salty.
  13. It happens, it will wake me up
  14. I agree, been there done that as well
  15. I know what I'm talking about
  16. I like the 110 as well simply because I can throw those things a mile.
  17. I've had a great year. Didn't catch my PB but still caught a lot of fish. The good news is as I go into fall it's time to go catch the whites and hopefully some hybrids mixed in there
  18. Buzzbaits in the fall and if they don't produce the whopper popper gets wet quickly.
  19. For what its worth, when I go into an area of water blind, I try to use stuff that I know and am comfortable with and have success with in similar looking areas in the past. Fish to your strengths, good luck!
  20. In July for about 3 weeks I went out and found the fish surfacing. In a couple hours 40-60 fish. When I got back my wife would ask me how it went? I said really good. She asked what would make a great day of fishing? I said catching an 8-10 lbs hybrid along with the bass.
  21. This past weekend (Labor Day) was the first weekend boat wasn't out fishing since April. Fished off the dock this weekend, just too many boats. Have to make time for the good stuff.
  22. I remember throwing those in ponds a lot. Caught a lot of fish off the sassy shad. Do they still sell those?
  23. A-Rig I like using them but not all day.
