  1. For the OP I would suggest the Lew's Tournament MP It's a great Jack of all trades reel.
  2. I really like the Lew’s Mach II series of rods for the applications you mention. Great jack of all trades rod for $99
  3. Thanks! That’s half the price of a Yum Wacky Tool or one by Field and Stream. Those are the 2 cheapest tools I found on a search $2.99 and $2.49 respectively. And you get 2 DIY tools.
  4. I want to see the full episode. It looks like she actually came onto the pier to confront the guys filming her?
  5. Maybe but you would have to double it up at the very least. The parts over your nose and mouth. A buff is better than nothing.
  6. https://www.tetongravity.com/story/culture/will-your-buff-actually-work-as-a-covid-19-mask Be careful out there. To the OP your best bet would be a homemade mask. My wife has been making them from fabrics she got from the hobby store. Everything from Star Wars, Superheroes and Pirates on them. I am sure they have fabric you could purchase on line with pictures of gamefish and or lures.
  7. Perch fishing has been fantastic this year. I was catching them this Sunday in mid-thirties air temps with 15mph winds. A guy came by and asked how I was doing. I said I caught a bunch of Perch. He then asked me if I ever ice fished for Perch. I zipped up my down vest and replied, "I am ice fishing"
  8. These worms have replace the Zoom Trick Worm in my arsenal. Blasphemy I know. I find them to be a true floating worm.
  9. I never understood the mentality of bringing an already purchased rod or reel into a store as well unless it was a return.
  10. Stickbaits. Fished wacky, T or C rigged, Neko, whatever.
  11. I have a similar pond in my neighborhood. It is one of the first places I hit ice out as it is the only place to catch a fish in March and April for a bank angler here. I can usually catch on of those bedding Bass on a wacky rigged 3” Yum Dinger. If you shake them just right they get Bass blood boiling! Never fails to elicit a strike sooner rather than later.
  12. Gamakatsu or Berkley Fusion. The latter is surprisingly good for the price.
  13. Reminds me of when I tried to register a canoe I bought off of Craig’s List. anything watercraft over a certain size has to be registered here even if it’s just a trolling motor you want to put on it. What a nightmare. Common sense has gone out the window. The poor clerk I was dealing with was all about the “I don’t make the rules I just have to enforce them” I wish you good luck. You are going to need it.
  14. For a 3 hour bank fishing session I bring water and a nut butter filled Clif Bar. For a 5 hour kayak trip it’s the same but double the water and bars. When I fish on my Father In Law’s boat I have a couple of Turkey Sandwiches in sandwich bags, Gatorade and Trail mix.
  15. I agree. I wipe down my rod and reel with a damp rag. Just to get any dirt or fish slime off them. This really helps keep Winn Grip and Cork handles looking nice. I usually cut off any hooks or lures I used for the day. Two reasons, one I want a fresh knot next time I go out. Second reason I don’t like bend in my rods from keeping line tension by holding a lure on the hook keeper.
  16. Lots of perch today. http:// http:// http:// And my old friend the snot rocket http:// Fallfish from the other day http://
  17. It sure was and my Dad’s reel is mint condition. He used it once on a charter we took for Smallmouth fishing. Decided he didn’t like baitcasters and gave it to me. It’s been in the box ever since.
  18. The Lew’s Jason Christie reel is a Walmart exclusive. I have the spinning version and it’s not bad. $35 is a fair price. I don’t see it for cheaper than that on EBay
  19. I am still hanging on to my Dad’s first gen Revo.
  20. 4 reels? You mentioned 3 Laser MG, Laser Pro, Super Duty Wide Spool. You can’t mean the 4th is the Crush which you “Crushed” with your mower? You can’t expect to sell that.. you probably could get $15 for the unscathed handle. To be as respectful as possible this means nothing about the brand. No $100 or less entry level reel is going to hold its value. You can find those reels on sale for what people want to get for these reels used. The only argument you could make is for the Super Duty Wide Spool. I would have to know what you were asking for this reel. If you are thinking of getting close to it’s MSRP it’s not going to happen as this reel is still in production. Why would someone buy a 3 year old used reel when they can have a brand new one.
  21. http:// Last October I caught my last Smallmouth. Hoping I will get one soon. The Fallfish and Perch have moved up to the rivers dam, Smallmouth won't be far behind.
  22. I wear a silicon ring while fishing and doing other chores that might damage my regular wedding band. I bought a pack with multiple colors. I like the camo and the blue camo the best. I do wear the black one more and more as it doesn't show dirt, blood and fish slime like the others do. They clean up easily though.
  23. I am not a fan of the Laser MG or the Laser Pro (Bass Pro reel) to be honest. For MSRP of $79.99 MG and $99.99 Pro I would have bit the bullet and bought an LFS. I would not expect to get anywhere near HALF of what I would have paid for these entry level reels selling them used. Even an LFS can be had from time to time on Ebay for $70 so selling a used one for close to $70 is an exercise in heartbreak. I can't speak on the Superduty as I do not own one.
  24. I used a few Lightning Rods and Cherrywood's over the years.
  25. I read the title and thought @slonezp was out of mono, braid, co-poly and fluorocarbon... And no you were not out of line. Especially now. It seems everyone realizes fishing is a social distance sport. My spots are crawling with people who are tired of staying at home.
