  1. ^ this ^ also, drop shot swimbait swimjig senko wacky rig topwater organization willingness to learn
  2. I have better luck in the morning, but that is because i usually fish from a boat. In the morning, it is darker and getting lighter. At night, it is lighter and getting darker. The bite is good earlier in the morning and gets worse the later it gets. The evening bite gets better the darker it gets. Boating is easier when it is going to get lighter, like in the morning.
  3. when is that?
  4. Is this bait worth 15$ for a 50 pack? How does it compare to GYBs or Yum Dingers?
  5. I have an iPhone 5s right now and a few iPads at my disposal. I also have a portable charger
  6. I am looking into getting a fish finder. I have a 14' Jon boat that I am converting into a bass boat. I will commonly fish from that, a smaller jon boat or a kayak. I also bank fish in ponds a lot. I am looking to invest in a portable fish finder. I like the idea of a mobile one, because I can use it in ponds too. I am looking at the base model Deeper and the iBobber Pulse. Open to suggestions too. Also what accessories do I need, I have an old Ugly Stik combo that I can cast it out with.
  7. What you are saying makes a lot of sense. I shouldn't expect a spinnerbait to last forever. As I am new to this technique, and have a limited budget, I thought that having different blades would be useful
  8. It is a joke, but if you are really considering quitting, please feel free to put on top of the list because I gave you the idea.
  9. Thats actually the scale i have been looking at the most...
  10. Thanks!
  11. How do you get such good pictures? Is it the angle, the camera, i am curious
  12. Is this a good list of quality spinnerbaits to build my arsenal which is currently very small (10 baits at most)? I also plan on buying a storage container and extra blades, do I need anything else? What size extra blades should I get? 14. i FEEL the disappointment, i bet you will get him/her when he/she is older!
  15. Thank you ll for the help! Along with this thread, several articles on here, and Glenn's in-depth video on spinnerbaits, I am now feeling more confident. I plan to take notes and write down stuff so that I am more effective on the water. I will come up with a list of various spinnerbaits to test out. This spring, I will spend a day in my lake in MA that is loaded with bass. It is gin clear and has a diverse environment of cover and structures. I will try bumping a white willow indiana against laydowns, slow rolling a 1 ounce black colorado in deep water and other ways to build more confidence.
  16. I have had some success this year trolls bg a crankbait behind the boat as u move from spot to spot. I have caught bass, pike, and perch. I am thinking of getting a cheap casting reel and 7'6" ML Mod Ugly Stik to troll with. Am I better off with the rod perpendicular to the boat or how should I position the rod. Where should u troll, what else should I use as bait thanks.
  17. Now that I have my rods for most other techniques, I am looking at a heavy power rod. I have a Broken Cabela's Tournament ZX rod that I can swap for another model. My options are a 7'3" Heavy Fast Froggin' rod (.25 - 1.25) or a 7'6" Heavy Extra Fast Flipping' rod (.5 - 1.5). The rod will be paired with a Cabela's Arachnid 8.1:1. I will use 50 and 30 pound braid. I want to use it mainly for 4 and 5 inch keitech swimbaits on weighted hooks. I also plan to frog, flip, and push lily pads with the rod. What is my better option
  18. I'm sure this lure is a popular topic on here, but... I ordered a 7'0" MH Quantum Escalade (rated: 0.25 - 1.5) today. I plan on pairing it with my Quantum Smoke PT 7.3:1 or Daiwa Tatula CT 7.3:1. I am going to get 20 pound braid to use as a mainline. I will have a 15 leader. I may also get 12 pound CXX. My idea of spinnerbait fishing is casting to pieces of cover like docks and trees and reeling back in. I know I should use a double willow sexy shad in clear water. What spinnerbaits are good around 5$? Is 5$ too cheap? Do I need a trailer hook or trailer or both? What are good trailers like? I have 20$ gift card to cabbelas and 50$ to Bass Pro. I am willing to spend a chunk of it on new spinnerbaits. What is the best way to store them Are there any tips you have Im pretty new to spinnerbaits, unlike most people i started bass fishing with a senko and live bait Thanks!
  19. You need to quit fishing and give me your lures. Think about it. Then you won't have to worry about financial trouble if you stop spending all your money on tackle. Let me know when you want to quit, because I am now accepting all fishing gear new and used
  20. go south organize tackle read fishing books spend time with family ski ice fish buy gear
  21. Both are the same price on Amazon and I am looking for a new reel in the 7.x:1 ratio. I think that it will go on my medium fast rod. It will be used in these techniques: ~ Senko ~ Jerkbait ~ Fluke ~ Swimbait ~ Crankbait ~ Walking Bait ~ Finesse Jig ~ Popper
  22. Do you think the 6'6" MH would be good for spinnerbaits?
  23. what about the 6'6" MH for spinnerbaits?
