  1. I see combo kits all the time. Like YUM where you can get a bunch of worms ,craws , hooks weights in an assortment of colors for 19.99. I know they aren't gycb but I catch fish on dingers nearly Everytime I throw them. Walmart has flukes for like 2.99 . It's all about whatever style you like. You can find some fishing catching bargains for sure
  2. I just figured . With the goddess like figure and all
  3. You know you want her (;
  4. 10 acres if definitely big enough to hold some real nice fish. I've caught big fish on top water in mid day. Every day is different it seems. I can have 15 + fish days on worms. Come again next week and can't get a bite in 2 hours.. everyone wants to help. And alot think they know best. I'd say most everyone has good intentions on this site. But it's hard to do what everyone tells you. BTW 10 feet is not too deep for cranks and jerk baits. I own many that I couldn't get down to 10 feet no matter how fast I cranked. And although I'm a rapala fan for the cranks. If I just have no luck at all and still want to try the hard baits. I break out my ol favorite. The bomber 6a in chartreuse blush. Money.
  5. I don't use popping frogs. But a popper like a rebel popr or rapala skitter pop I've caught several 5+
  6. Mepps all day. If I dont catch anything trying my favorite styles. Cranks / worms/ top water. I hit the spots again with a mepps. I like the black fury , and the white tail. Also the browns, oh and the chartreuse. Ha-ha. I like them all ! And seriously have caught some NICE fish on them. Bass, bluegill, crappie, pike, perch, bowfin, and a huge channel cat once. It was over ten pounds. If I could only have one lure for me to depend on, it would be the mepps in line spinner.
  7. Lol minnows obviously bud . If you're really getting skunked. I'd catch some small gills with some crappie nibbles. And free line em for one of those hogs in there ! The catfish will take one too ! So. It's a good idea I promise. And if you don't wanna use the live bait. I'd try a shad rap. Size 7. In yellow perch.
  8. Lol. It's called whatever you can think of that's pink and yellow apparently
  9. Seems like Berkeley is running this thread
  10. Carhartt.
  11. Unofrtuante to hear about someone having problems with rapala. I swear it's my favorite brand. Just too fun to fish ! And can catch all species on a rapala ! I've had success with the shadow rap, but don't own many due to the fact I'm in love with some of their other models. Like the original, countdown , jointed , fat rap, dt and husky jerk. If I showed you my collection you'd know I have a problem. But they helped me get into artificial when I was really young ! And have embraced them ever since.
  12. I wish I could try those out. I trust culprit to get the job done alot.
  13. Sounds like you're carrying your whole arsenal with ya. I have a backpack with some planos (3-4) plus 3 small) A guide series tackle box that holds 4 large planos and top storage. And a small Plano bag that holds 2 medium sized and 2 small ones. If I'm bank fishing anywhere that someone else has access too. I leave my backpack and big box at home ! I take the small pack and spend more time fishing than changing lures. I like to have a variety so I bring a little of everything. But the main reason I only take a small bag for bank fishing is because I know someone (whom like many brought ALL his stuff with him ) who had their vehicle broken into and took all of his tackle. He was so upset. He was an avid crank bait user and lost over 125 plugs. Mostly rapala and some he had for decades. I learned from his experience and only take what I plan on using before I get there. Less to pack. Less to worry about. Less to dig through. Less decisions. More fish.
  14. It is fun. Especially to bring young kids just getting into fishing . And for yourself if you bring UL gear like you mentioned. But I personally have more fun at the other ponds catching the hog bass.. BUT if you know someone who is a die-hard bluegill fisherman. It's a dream spot.
  15. This is great. In a perfect world, the fees we do pay are a great thing. To help conserve our game and land. Re-stocking of loved species and keeping poachers from doing what they do. But. Everything is so corrupt. And it's obvious they're lazy. It's all about the money. For the king pins new marina while I can hardly afford a tiny boat from 1953
  16. Yea. I've used live bait on all the ponds. For hours and hours. It's been this way for the past 2 years now. And I want to believe there is bigger fish in there. But the thing is . I catch big bass at the other two almost consistently. And I record the catch. And have managed to catch the SAME hogs out of a BIGGER body of water. I know what you're saying . My girlfriends dad has a pond that's literally 70 foot by 20 foot. And has a three pound bass living in it. I don't know how it survives. Anyway. I think I have a problem with someone coming in and taking our fish. Because the big ones just aren't in there. My grandma swears there is. That my past grandfather put them in there. But they're gone. I wish I was wrong. But I highly doubt it. Just small . 8-12 inch bass. With a 14 incher I've already caught twice. But let me ask this ? Are they only "stunted" if they're skinny ?
  17. Lol Lol dude so wrong
  18. Bigfoot is real !!! I seen it riding Nessi . Pitchin a rage craw in some brush.
  19. Alright. So on top of the lakes and rivers I have access too, I also have three private ponds that I have full access too. Meaning I can harvest / come and go as I please. Sounds great right ? Well. It is, except for the one that my grandmother owns. Its a little over an acre and a half . the bass are stunted .they're not skinny. They're just small! The pond has been around for a couple decades and was never like this . I don't know what to do.. the bluegill are huge. Like gigantic. There's some crappie in there that are decent. And the bass are just pathetic .biggest I caught out of it this past summer was just over a pound and like 14in. Most going around 8-10. I've been told harvest. But what do I do.? What would you do.? Should I stock minnows ? Remove the bluegill ? And the bass ? I'm so lost and disappointed.
  20. I'd like to read your story on this
  21. I've caught bass on the original floater ! That and the jointed version is what got me into artificial when I was a young boy. Like 10
  22. Hopefully you already know this by now. But that "clackin crayfish" is practically garbage. At 12 dollars and I can't get the thing to land up right hardly ever. I was told to add suspend strips to the bottom and this will help make it land up right . So 12 dollars plus a few dollars for the suspend strips. I can get a FEW bags of PROVEN plastics . I wouldn't even bother. And totally regret spending 12 dollars on something that instantly has to be modified out of the package.i t Caught the fisherman. Not the fish.
  23. I bet the bass in that pond are nice and fat. Im sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see a picture of your best bass from the pond !
  24. 45 views and no one has stepped forth and gave you advice. Usually when I post , people are quick to help/ give their opinion. I'm sorry no one has helped ya. I can't give you much advice . What I can offer is I know spoons are very successful on many species of game fish . And I've seen a picture of a Magnum red/white spoon with an absolute pig of a largemouth . I'd say experiment with it. Until someone comes forth and tells you about their experiences
