  1. I love fishing top water at night. I'd try a walking bait. A popper. And a buzz bait. Also becoming good at a Texas rigged worm will be very effective for you. I've caught fish on a t rigged worm dusk til dawn. My favorite way to fish is with crank/jerk baits. I'd try an rapala original floater . In the silver or gold. Also try some swimbaits. I like the hollow bodied ones with a screw lock keel weighted hook. Jig. If you like using a jig.. they are just as effective if not more at night time. Ive been on the rage craw/chunk lately. I think the added action in the claws would really help at night also . I wouldn't over look spinner baits either..
  2. Only one way to find out!!!
  3. There is another thread about this.. long story short I had a take in open water. I cast it over a sunken tree and let it sit. Then worked it back my way and I've never had a bass take a top water so gentle. It came up. I seen the whole roof of her mouth.and just slurped it down. I reeled down and went to set the hook and my drag went zzzzzzzzzzzzzttt. I had it loose from when I hooked the holder and released the tension for storage..operator error. It's super easy to walk. Probably the easiest I've ever used. And it has trokar hooks. But in all honesty. I wouldn't buy another one even if it was 5 bucks. But if i was stranded and only had this lure. I'm confident I couldn't catch a bass with it.

    SK vs GYCB

How much is crazy cheap? I usually find the rage tails for about 5 a pack..still kind of expensive. But their chunk is my favorite by far for a small jig spring through summer. I haven't tried them all yet . But every one I have tried caught fish. My favorite over all is to Texas rig the craw. They're hard to find ! DSG is the only place around me that sells them. And they only have the craw and structure bug. I had to order the other ones I've tried. GYCB on the other hand. Is everywhere around me. And the DSG section of Yamamoto products is pretty decent. But overall , too expensive!!!
  5. I'd go fishing with a knowledgeable seasoned man in a old beat up canoe. The boats are cool but come on man..

    SK vs GYCB

Gycb has undeniable awesome soft plastics.. I've never bought a pack of any style of their plastics and not caught fish with them. My only problem is the 8 dollar price tag.. it's the megabass/lucky craft of soft plastics. . I'm with ya on that one.. zoom makes up most of my plastics. Cheap and reliable. I find em in discount bins for 2/3 dollars a pack. And they're generous with the portions I think the last bag of trick worms I bought from zoom was a 20 pack for 4 bucks..
  7. @A-Jay . Ha-ha everyone wants to fish with you ! I tend to agree. Seem like a pretty positive and knowledgeable dude. And one of the very few I've yet to see criticize somebody.
  8. Nice! As long as I hold at least one bass a week (spring through fall). Well. Life ain't so bad..
  9. I bet you thought you had a new PB! Ha-ha. That is crazy..
  10. Get out that punching gear bud ! Heavy weight. Slim profile. They're in there.
  11. Try and target bass... a pike is sure to come hit your lure.
  12. You're addicted to fishing when you walk into Walmart for groceries and always leave with something from the fishing department.. When the word "bass" isn't the subs in your car. When you favor gas stations that sell bait You cringe when you hear about a birds nest You speak in codes. "We really nailed them slabs last night " your buddy knows but your girlfriend doesnt. The tug is the drug man. Peace.

    50 votes... dead even.
  14. Sounds like a good spot to hop a worm down that bank. I'd try a black worm with a ribbon tail . t rigged . At least 7 inches. They'll have no problem finding the worm. Personally my favorite way to fish is crank baits. But no matter how much I love them. I can not argue with a simple worms effectiveness.

    Used car

I used to work for a car dealership; for a couple years.. as a detailer . I seen many, many shady deals.. but I'm going to share with you the worst one. It was a newer Jeep liberty. We took in on trade. It had a water leak issue. Coming through a panel and a dome light. We were hit with a huge series of storms and long story short. The jeep had standing water in it. Instead of the owner getting it fixed, she decided she wanted something else.. I spent at least 4 hours vacuuming all the water out. wiped it down. Did the wheels etc. It was supposed be worked on in a few days and then put back on the lot. Well. In just 2 days, Someone came on the lot and fell in love with the car. The used car manager came to me and told me to prep it for delivery. I looked at him in disbelief "dude.. it's gonna be flooded as soon as it rains. " Me and the manager were cool. I had been to his house twice for some poker games. He looked at me and told me to go get some gas in it. Don't wash it (cuz he knew it would leak) , put the matts in it and bring it around front.. I did what I was asked to do. And looked at a family with a mother who clearly had joy in her eyes. I wanted to tell her so bad.. but I didn't (I regret it now) I screwed her temp tag on and she left. . This was my source of income . Lose my job .. or do what I was asked. I should have told her. She was back a week later... with a flooded car.. and the used car manager told her not to worry, that her warranty would cover it... such a crook. This was not a buy here, pay here lot . This was a licensed Chrysler company . It really blew my mind. Thankfully I don't work there anymore. And have never trusted a car dealership ever since.
  17. Lol watch the Bengals. No denying it! Especially Adam Jones!! I have no comments on the cowboys. Now the cowgirls... ha-ha. Family site. And the PC police apparently.
  18. Lol I'm not a band wagoner .. i stand by the Lions whether we win or lose. And by that I mean I stand by them when we lose... ha-ha. As for the Bengals . I live in ohio now and only get to watch the Sunday , Thursday and the local games.. which means I hardly get to see the Lions. As my whole family here roots for the Bengals. I try to too. But I could care less about them really. I was just ranting about how we look like a bunch of remorseless, loud mouthed group of thugs.

    Used car

Yea that's what I was telling her.. and she said the dealership told her so.. which doesn't make any sense . You would think that they would try and make as much money as possible and diagnose every little problem they could find. Who knows. What I do know is she has been getting it changed every 3000 .. and when she pulled in to my house . (We let it sit for awhile and checked it) we added a a quart and it still didn't show on the dipstick. It took 2.. and only holds 5 . The car only has 140k. Idk

    SK vs GYCB

When they came out... that's all I was saying is I don't hear much talk about em. Go through the latest threads.. not one post in who knows how many directed at the GY hardbaits.. and I NEVER see recommendations . So quick to jump on my post. With "WRONG" .

    SK vs GYCB

@J Francho I thought storm made the arashi.. regardless... if you look at all the threads of everyones "best lure for summer " or "best big bass baits" I haven't come across one person recommend a Yamamoto hardbait.

    Used car

Interesting about the Subarus. My aunt owns one. A 2010 outback . And the dealership told her for her specific engine it wasn't out of the norm for it to burn one quart of oil per 1500 miles.. I'm no mechanic. But surely this can't be right

@Steveo-1969 for a no brainer ... SK is behind.. I'm pretty sure they offer hard baits as well.. nobody talks about those tho..
