  1. I just said if its weedy I don't opt for the senko. But yea.
  2. It's preference! I like to wacky rig usually with the senko.. If it's real weedy I don't opt for the senko. I like using a pegged t rig craw. Or structure bug. Or a frog ha-ha.
  3. Yea just drain the lake til you can see it and catch it with a live Gill.
  4. No I didn't mean it's ok to snag..you took me out of context. I didn't mean that it should be the record. I meant that since a 25lb DOES (or did) EXIST . That the record will eventually be broken
  5. If it was 25 lbs that shatters the record ! Regardless of how it was caught. The size alone tells us that the current 22lb 4oz will not stand forever
  6. You might be a redneck if you insist on smoking a cigarette while throwing your cast net.
  7. I believe Red drum aka redfish or channel bass . A type of croaker
  8. All three of those choices are proven options!
  9. You didn't think you'd get in the books for free did ya?
  10. There is another thread about this. Pretty recent one too. It's a gimmick.
  11. @soflabasser whatttt ???????? I caught a 24 inch largemouth out of a 4 acre pond this year. Surely the world record must be longer than that..... I debated on getting it mounted. It only had a 15.5 inch girth. I think it might have been on its last leg. But I put her back anyway. And hope to see her next spring
  12. It's just a little odd seeing outdoorsman so squeamish over little larvae
  13. Google maps... local bait shops.. friends. All should give you a good idea.
  14. Welcome ! I think it's preference. Some people are crazy , and if they can see you then you are to close.. I think the best is to just keep a safe distance. I'm not sure how big the lake is.. but id say close enough to make conversation is too close. Treat others how youd want to be treated. Think of it like this. If you were in that spot first.. how close would you allow someone to get before you got aggravated?. Keep that boundary when you're coming up on an occupied spot. And all should be good.
  15. Are these the same guys that fillet fish and have blood and guts all over the cutting board ? Or use wax worms or nightcrawlers ? It's really not much different. I agree they aren't the most pleasant.. and if you've ever seen a huge infestation of em its a little disturbing.. but some of these reactions.. Lets not be sissies.
  16. That's ridiculous.. haha
  17. @Raul let's see yours.
  18. Rage tail space monkey. I like the falcon lake but pick whatever color you like
  19. If there's one thing I've found. There's no reasoning with bowfisherman. @Fisher-O-men
  20. I think it is "all tackle" meaning either or.
  21. Ha-ha definitely did. I thought to myself. If you don't know where she's at... and can't get ahold of her... uh ohh
  22. I also recommend taking a few cranks and really learning how they run...practice by the boat or whatever right in front of you. And learn how each twitch and pull of the rod makes the bait react. It's crucial to know how your crank is acting underwater. In time You'll know whether you just hit a branch or something swiped at it.

    Yum Dingers

I agree about the senkos being superior.. but honestly I catch quite well with the dingers... they have a brown with black flake and chartreuse tail that is killer for me. Something about the way the senko falls though, it's almost like using live bait. But I think I could get by with the dingers. When the fish are active I don't think it really matters. I think time, place , and presentation are more key.
  24. Ah . Just go through and read the thread.. 19/20 you're mentioned. Although your humble and modest attitude is refreshing. It's plain as day. Maybe not as well known as Peyton. But surely as well liked by those that do know you.
  25. I'd take him up on that. Have you seen the "who would you like to fish with most " thread. A-Jay is the Peyton Manning of bass resource. Everybody loves him haha.
