  1. Oh. I guess I just figured they could order me anything.. even if they don't carry it in the store.. I always liked cabelas more. But I have the card to bass pro. Im not sure. I will work something out.. Bummer
  2. They can order me anything I want though. But yea.
  3. Ha-ha cowabunga
  4. I've tried many types of alcohol. And I can't get away from jack and any dark soda.
  5. Sometimes they just blow up on it. And don't actually take it.. that's part of fishing the frog. I need these hooks. I was eyeing them on tackle warehouse. Had them added to the cart along with other things. And seen they were on backorder. So I canceled. I'll be getting some soon though. Glad to see this review.
  6. I've kind of gotten away from the river 2 sea.. because I feel like they ripped me off big time on their clackin crayfish. I mentioned the spro bbz.. but can't find any reviews of people's personal experience. Hudd 68. I'll check that out. Thanks. @timsford
  7. Simple answer. Easy on the eyes. For a smaller jig you can't beat a rage chunk. (Not because of the sponsors, but because of the results ) I've caught 5-7 bass on one chunk and it still continues to catch bass even if only one claw is left.
  8. Ha-ha I keep mine in planos . In tackle bags. And then in a couple storage totes.
  9. So I received a gift. I have 150 dollars to spend at a bass pro. I have a plethora of terminal tackle , soft plastics , top waters. And crank/jerkbaits. And more than enough jigs to suite my needs. One area I'm not so stocked in. Is swimbaits. I only have a few. One is complete garbage IMO (storm wild eye bluegill) which I ended up giving away. And the other is like a 5 inch hollow body that I've done pretty decent with. But I'm thinking of getting either the spro bbz1, Mattlures baby bass. Or jackal gantarel. Any reviews on the spro or jackall would be appreciated. I've heard nothing but good things from the Mattlures . But I think I want a hard bodied. With a wide motion. Also any suggestions on your favorite swimbait. Thanks.
  10. My girlfriends 18 year old brother got a job in a labor union. Making 28 dollars an hour. They make him move heigh in trucks. For seeding or something I'm not exactly sure. What I do know is I make anywhere for 80 to 120 a day. And I'm 6 years his senior. Kinda ticks me off because I work hard. But it is what it is.
  11. I have met some grumpy greeters lol Good ol Kentucky son. Man I love it there. Good friendly folk. (Usually) and that is refreshing being from an inner city in Michigan
  12. I think that @everythingthatswims has a good idea. I'd also try a pegged structure bug. Has been real good to me this summer.
  13. That's exactly what I was thinking.
  14. Shad rap 07. Yellow perch (effective even if there is no perch ) With a stop and go, sweeping motion. Multi species lure . One of my favorites if not THE favorite.
  15. I caught my PB on a top water. A rapala skitter pop which is a popper like you mentioned. Mid day. In June. Over a sunken tree. I also have good success with frogs over dense vegetation.. you could use punching gear... but the frog bite is exciting and excellent. Bass eat any thing they can fit their mouths around. And if its a big bass. That's anything from adult bluegill to bullfrogs , snakes and even small ducklings. Top water is not a gimmick. It's a proven technique. This is in ohio. A long ways away from soflabasser. Yet just as effective. All across the globe top water is utilized. I wouldn't give up on it. Like I said I've caught bass top water mid day in the blistering heat. But it is definitely most effective (for me) with an overcast and a slight breeze. Also dusk and dawn.. there are many versions of top water, I suggest a buzz bait , soft plastic frog (something like the rage toad) or a classic jitterbug. Also can't go wrong with the classic popper . I'm not sure who the first to make one is.. but my favorites are the rebel pop-r and the rapala skitter pop. Also walking baits can be deadly. Like the Zara spook. Im a huge rapala fan so I use their version , the skitter walk. Alot of companies have one but I suggest you nail a couple on some others suggested above before you get frustrated trying to walk the dog. It's supposed to be fun ! Keep an open mind. And go get you a hawg. (Top water style ?) Good luck.
  16. I have no idea about the stripers. So this is off topic I suppose. But I love when the water becomes high and muddy. I often do the best with shallow shad raps(I guess that's not finesse either) With a sweeping retrieve. I find largemouth up much more shallow than usual checking out their new territory.
  17. @j bab ha-ha. Tell em how you really feel
  18. I work with a contractor and we do remodeling contracts for Lowes on a daily basis. From bathrooms to kitchens. Electic and plumbing. Doors to floors. Tile and concrete , framing. It's good stuff to know and I truly enjoy the work. Except for in the summer... anyway. When you hire a contractor you should always get their review from the BBB (better business bureau ). You should ask for a list of previous customers to ask them about their experience. And make sure he is licensed and insured. If he (or she) can't provide those things. I wouldn't expect stellar results. Any "jake-leg" can come put your bathroom In but when the plumbing fails and your house is flooded it is you and your home insurance taking the hit. Sure you can try to sue. But My grandpa always told me you can't get blood from a turnip. And he was right.

I have a simple all black Mossberg 12ga pump. Killed my first buck with it.. and has always been a good gun for clays. I love where the safety is.
  22. I wish my grandma was BA ha-ha. She would call in the middle of the night saying she heard motor cycles and chainsaws. Hah! I felt bad for her because she was truly scared. But we never found anything. Me and my brother were convinced the intruders were using "active camo" aka invisibility lol
  23. Ha-ha ! Sounds like that's YOUR experience.. fortunately(or unfortunately) I don't fish tournaments. And I have many types of plastics...that all work great. I'm pretty sure on the SK GYCB thread you said youd drop the senko completely for the rage tail baits.. maybe that was because of the sponsors . Or maybe you feel that way ? I've had days where I couldn't get a bite on a senko... and I've had days where I don't need anything else but the senko.. I certainly think that how you rig the senko is Definitely preference. May not be the most effective for the situation. But still a preference nonetheless. I can catch fish in the weeds without ever even thinking about a senko.
