  1. No luck with hardbaits or jigs ? Spinners of any kind ? Do you use one of those drift socks ? Anchor system ? Do you have recommendations on a depth finder ? Do you only fish out of your yak ? Usually in Lakers or rivers? Primary target species ? @Darren.
  2. I couldn't find what I was looking for in the list.. two things. 1) what are the things you always bring and rely on when using your kayak. 2) your favorite presentations for kayak fishing. My kayak you are not able to stand. So some techniques are a little more difficult. if your kayak is similar then I would love to hear your (seasonal) go-to baits.
  3. I have one I use sometimes for small private ponds(2 acres or less).. it's an "excursion" and it's 10 foot long. Has 2 rod holders. It was 150 dollars I think. It's nice. Couple beers, a fish basket full of crappie. Good stuff.
  4. I only have one pack of these worms, they are cheap and come in packs of 20 .and my baby needs some shoes. However, you can send me some for fishmas. but I dont care for them so far.. that's why I wanted to see what the preferred method of using them was. but yea sure bud. Btw . I don't need these worms to catch fish.
  5. That's sad if that's the only reason..
  6. Lol I don't think a finesse thread can be started without the Ned working its way into the conversation
  7. If salt has nothing to do with anything then why do they make salted and unsalted of the exact same worm?
  8. Thanks. This is the kind of stuff I was looking for.
  9. I never said they did..
  10. Does the salt not keep the worm from floating ? Unsalted worms float.. giving a more vertical presentation on the shakey head... Well senko type worms I will use wacky, and Texas both weighted and weightless.. I also use ribbon tail worms like culprit/Berkeley on a Texas rig. My question is when are these worms best ? And YOUR favorite way to fish them.. I'm aware of how I COULD rig them I'm just curious what the go to preference is.. I figured I was going to get shakey head. I guess that's the only spot they excel more than others.
  11. Try a swim jig in that lake.
  12. I'm talking about the " super salt plus " . What is your preferred way of fishing these worms ? I know the unsalted ones float and are nice for the shakey head; but I'm having a hard time choosing this super salt plus when I'm out fishing. I like zoom I'm just trying to figure out when these would be the best choice.. and so far I haven't figured it out because I'm always reaching for a different worm..
  13. I wouldn't forget that spot.. I'd say the smaller fish are there because the big ones are not. Not that the small ones pushed them out. I don't know how big a "dink" is to you. To me it would be 1.5lbs and less. I'll take some 2-3lbers all day. Spinning rod , some lighter line. Yea buddy.
  14. Yep zero chance Id stick with construction in Florida. Ha-ha. I'd probably acclimate after awhile but every time I visit Florida (which isn't often) the heat whoops me.
  15. Just sore lip em all ? Bass like to school with others of similar size.. not saying there won't be any variance. But I don't think you'll be finding your PB in a group of 2-3lbers
  16. That's pretty Awesome. Mine likes to fish, as long as we are on the fish and stay on em... ha-ha. Ill take her crappie fishing with small minnows. She likes that alot.
  17. I agree for fishing warmer weather is more pleasant. But I don't spend the majority of my life fishing. I spend it working . And I do not like wotking in the heat at all. I'd rather wear layers and peel them off as I go, than be stuck hot and miserable.
  18. Nahhhh. It's much easier to keep warm than it is to keep cool. If you did construction like me you'd appreciate the cooler weather alot more . If we are talking extremes ill take the cold every day. But maybe that's just the Michigan in me.
  19. My girlfriend bought it for me.. for 159 (I think) . I don't have it yet. It's for Christmas.
  20. Aye @Logan S you'd make my day if you tell me what craw you have on the back of that jig in your first photo..
  21. I'm looking for a little insight on this. Any input at all is appreciated.
  22. Same thing happened to me..
  23. I got a 10ft sit on top yak for 230 dollars and it came with paddles. Has three rod holders, and multiple storage sections. So you can definitely buy brand new with a 500 dollar budget.
  24. I think matching the color is more for the fisherman's needs. The confidence you get when it "looks good to you". Same with crank baits. Every color I own has caught bass. from fluorescent to natural. On the same note, How could it hurt to match the forage ?
  25. Thanks A-JAY. This kind of stuff is why I frequent this site. Experienced fisherman sharing their knowledge and gear.
