  1. Interesting.... I use "left hand" combos (reeling with my left) on both spinning and casting...My left hand (and arm ) is plenty strong, more than strong enough to bring in any bass on this earth . just not as cordinated. Which is why I want the rod in my dominant hand for casting accuracy. I think switching hands would be annoying . But if it's what you're used to it probably doesn't seem like a chore at all
  2. I know it's all about what you are comfortable with.. but I just don't see how someone who's right handed would want to reel with the right hand.. I'm right handed and have always wanted the rod in my dominant hand while reeling with my "off-hand". I feel like I have better feel and more accurate casting... Kind of like throwing a ball, how many of you are "right handed" but would prefer to throw a ball with your left hand.. Just a little odd to me and I seem to be seeing it alot..

    Outliers

Studies have also shown that 75% of rich men are right handed. So I got that going for me.
  4. Even if I did.. give you every single rod and lure I owned.. a 50 dollar budget and a trip to Walmart would put me back on some bass. You can bet your ace.
  5. I don't think drum are ugly at all ? I don't know why everyone says that.. the only thing that is disturbing to me is their teeth... But from this view . I don't know why people insist they are ugly. Looks like fun to me.
  6. If the topwater bite is on, it almost doesn't even matter what you're using whether it's a Zara spook or zoom horny toad. That being said I've become partial to the lunk.erhunt frogs (especially that lil pocket frog ) , booyah bad crasher , and the rage toad.
  7. @everythingthatswims you get it done son. I'm proud of ya and dont even know ya. Week after week. You stay catchin em. A true fisherman for sure.
  8. I was doing this one time with "crappie magnets".. I had the drag set real loose so that the big gills could run and pull out line.. I had a hog bass Grab my hooked gill. Inhaled it too.. ended up breaking my 4 lb mono after a short battle. It was awesome though. She flashed me her whole side.. somewhere between 20-24" I'm sure. I'll never know.
  9. I think I'm the only one on bass resource who has never spent more than 60 dollars on a spinning combo.

    Adding Paint

    Let's see it !
  11. So much it's ridiculous. I can't stop buying. I don't even use half of it. I probably use 1/8th of it.
  12. Gonna be a hog with that appetite.
  13. I have a 10 foot sun dolohin.. Dude it comes with front and rear storage. 2 rear rod holders and another one that pivots that Is positioned between your legs..It's 43 pounds , you can pack it by yourself without a trolley . it has a bungee system on both sides you can hang your paddle up using only one hand. For the money you will not get a better kayak and that's a fact. Get yourself a bleacher cushion and you'll be good for hours.. feeling sore ? Pull up to the shore and eat a sandwich that you stored in your waterproof rear compartment .. stretch and continue on your "journey" Bunch of negative Nancys. You will not get a better one for the money... Think about your own life.. are you a kid in school. ? Are you grown and have a family ? Young adult in college ? any of those and money will be tight.. unless you're 18-30 living with your parents. Or have a really good job.. Then you might have the money to spend 1000 dollars on a kayak If not, the sun dolphin is a good choice. I own one and would buy one again.. would I like a nicer one ? Sure ? But wouldn't we all like a nicer car/house/boat etc... In life you need to make due with the hand you are dealt.. and i catch fish in my sun dolphin. No matter what anyone has to say about it, the only negative there is ; is you can't stand up. If you're on a budget and can afford this one then buy it. Get off the bank and find some bass you couldn't reach without it.
  14. I've never heard of someone finding that many in one day.. that's ridiculous.. and what a bunch of lazy fisherman. I'm too cheap to cut it and take the loss. The only time I leave it is if it's down in the depths and I don't have a choice.
  15. Lol yea too much money to be made on the 10 packs.
  16. Yea saying VMC doesn't make premium hooks is absurd. Lots of quality brands use their hooks including lucky craft. Im a big fan of their stand up shaky head, spinshot hooks , sureset trebles for my top water and shallow cranks, and the swinging rugby head. They also have a nice shaky head and neko hook. I also don't care for turning the hook sideways into the bait. Although this method will work, I lose fish because of the hook position , and IMO hinders the action in stickbaits under 5" . .. If there are too many weeds , weightless t rig the darn thing and catch some bass. It works just as well if not better.
  17. I like VMC for almost all my specialty hook needs. And although I don't use these hooks. I have nothing but positive things to say about their hooks. So, I'm sure they're nice.
  18. I only use spinning gear on windy days.. and I like using lipless cranks and heavy t rigs
  19. Top water at night.
  20. I have a sun dolphin s10 "journey " and it was like 250 bucks. It has storage in front and back.. and is only 43 pounds. It also has bungees on the side where I can hang my paddle up using only one hand. And it has three rod holders. 2 behind the seat and one between your legs that pivots. The negatives are you cannot stand up... And the seat isnt very comfy. So I bring a padded bleacher seat and I'm all good. Well worth the 250 . And very fun to use. You can't beat it for the money. And it sure as hell beats bank fishing ! Especially if you're fishing from the bank on a lake.. ponds are one thing.. but big bodies of water a boat or kayak almost guarantee more success. 250?? With rod holders and storage !! You can pack this thing by yourself ! Go check it out.
  21. What bummed me out is no lightsaber fights... That's what I like most.. my favorite scene of all the movies is the first one with "Darth maul" fighting both Jedi at once..
  22. My grandfather gave me packs of those worms when I was really young.. and swore by them completely. Spring through fall the man was throwing a culprit ribbon tail. Deep or shallow, weeds or docks..it's not all he used.. but without a doubt his go to(this becoming mine) . I still have a pack each that he gave me. Unopened. I just buy more and when I'm fishing with them its like he's there fishin with me.Even though he's been gone for awhile now.. So, even though it's a centinmental choice... It's also effective and works for me year after year. They are well priced and durable. Awesome worm..
  23. Another vote for the culprit worm. I like 1/8oz unpegged. Tequila or red shad.
  24. Chrome and gold if I could just pick two. I'd rather have different sizes than different colors.
