  1. Try one of these j-rigged or dropshot. It's a FYAO devil bug
  2. Lol you know you wanna try em.
  3. Lol bro ... You have 180 bucks laying in your junk drawer !! Let's swap cabinets lol. I have a Lew's Mach 2 rod... It's nice for sure !
  4. Lol right.
  5. @bigfruits the ones I'm talking about are very small (compared to the average frog ) their legs are life like , not the skirt material. I wouldn't be opposed to using the skirts for legs! I'm interested in frogs of this size ! The ones with skirt material are much easier to walk IMO. So there are ups and downs . I like the compact profile the realistic legs have when at a rest. The LH (pocket frogs) are perfect really. I just bend the hooks out a little bit and I can use them on spinning gear. The only time I use them is when I bank fish in the summer. they don't spook the whole section of the pond on one go and i end up catching some healthy numbers with them usually. Kind of steep at 7 bucks though... I actually have a couple with skirt material legs because the first strike ripped a leg off of one. I was just seeing if anyone else used small frogs and what their brand preference was.. The thread mastr baiter posted was pretty good.
  6. When you ask questions on a search engine about bass fishing, It gives suggestions best related to your request.... Depending on the words you choose, your results could be a 7 year old post on bass resource. Red shad is still relevant.. i
  7. ELL yea !
  8. Pretty much what I said . And I'm more than sure this is a well educated guess. So sure , that I'm pointing it out again !
  9. Lol y'all are pounding this guy..
  10. 10 acres is plenty room for them to hide . Once youve hooked a few of those hogs they will become aware of danger from the outside. Feel your vibrations on the bank , remember your lure that worked last time. They do get conditioned whether anyone wants to admit it or not ! They can still be had though and I'm willing to bet they are still in there. did you get a look during the spawn ?? Besides, most people know the smaller younger bass are the best ones to eat anyway.. and removing some of the smaller bass can be healthy for the pond. I wouldn't want to eat a big old fat bass. Lol. Think about it ! I never understood why someone would take a big fish unless they planned on mounting it...
  11. @Darren. Milwaukee is my favorite too from box cutters to hackzall, I have many brands of miscellaneous . Porter cable , Stanley , Bosch , Hitachi , DeWalt , kobalt and Ridgid. But my favorite is definitely Milwaukee ! Their multi tool is the most versatile tool I own and we use it everyday. You can change the blades for just about anything. Mostly plunge cuts under door jams, also drywall , or PVC pipe. Btw . Not all Carpenters over charge ! We only charge labor and make no money on materials. Example; your labor bid would be the same whether the material was $1sq foot or 12. You pick it we stick it ! But If you can do most your upgrades or replacements yourself then more power to ya ! Those Milwaukee tools take a beating and get it done ! Mine have paid for themselves. This is a much bigger monkey than the bait monkey (for me )
  12. Awesome trip. Thanks for posting
  13. I guesso. I personally would not use a snap. That is a Berkeley swimbait and preferred jig head I believe. Kind of makes it seem phony. Lol. Been a hot subject lately huh. Jigheads are an ultimate tool for soft plastics. Nearly every soft plastic bait can be rigged on some sort of jighead to catch bass efficiently. I think soft plastic frogs are the ONLY soft plastic I wouldn't use a jighead with. Any worm , creature , paddle tail, grub, tube and fluke style can be fished effectively with a jighead !
  14. Agree !! And much more ! In fact. Strike King calls the "rage rig" using this very hook on all their rage plastics . Awesome hooks and idea.
  15. Lol ordered something two months ago ??? Already got your money son !!!
  16. Swimbait eats jighead. Bass eats swimbait. Circle of life
  17. J rig is like the Texas and dropshot mixed !! It's killer for real.
  18. I second the above post ! But between 1-5pm when it's "too hot to fish"
  19. J rig is something you should look into with these. A little more action than the Texas rig and keeps it off the bottom just slightly !!
  20. I've butted heads with a few people on here ... It's what guys do ? Honestly there isn't one person on here that I would say I "hate" or strongly dislike... Lighten up bud... You don't have to leave ? Just focus elsewhere !!! Keep doing what brought you to the site.
  21. Just close this thread haha. You're doomed bro !
  22. Small 2 to 3" grubs on a jighead will slay those slabs all day if you can get on em!! Gulp minnows and crappie magnets are all I use when targeting them. Jighead or dropshot. In my area they like to hang around sunken trees.. and when I catch one there is always more.
  23. Lol if you're single maybe you should spend some time shopping at the grocery or mall instead of bass pro
  24. It has to do with people's minds... The only thing that can help you is yourself. Not what anybody is about to say to you. The fact that you have extra money to spend is going to allow you to spend it as you want to... Some people can save... Some people are impulsive... Sounds like you may be a little impulsive lol. I am too. Step back and fish with what you have... Buy your kids something . Save for a vacation. We need money for our necessities... Any extra is for our own enjoyment. If buying lures makes you happy then continue to buy !! It sounds like you want to stop... So the simple answer is to just stop... It is that easy. Have a little self control. You don't cheat on your wife do you ? (Assuming you're married ) is there not many other beautiful woman you see every day?? Have you ever had the opportunity to cheat and didn't pursue? If so , You have self control.. just apply it to your money... After all, there are alot of worse ways to spend your money than buying fishing lures... and you cant take the money with you to the grave. So. Good luck
