  1. 55 dollars is a little ridiculous IMO. I could go to Walmart and get a soft tackle bag with 3 big planos that would hold even more cranks than that for like 25 bucks.
  2. I'll be the boring one... Senko.
  3. Did something similar to this the other day. Except had them in a car... Rolled my window up and busted the tip off my most expensive rod. Lol. Ahh but you know what they say... Life's a ..... You get ...... Then ya die. I try to not be upset about anything..
  4. Check this recent thread out.
  5. I don't think it's the fish really. Just the "friends" lack of integrity
  6. Every product I've tried of theirs catches bass. ! Even the stupid sunfish. So you can rest assured if you buy one that it will catch fish ! Honestly they make a lipless that is one of my favorite cranks in my box. I hear alot of griping about the price of this companies products ... But I see the same people spending 26 on a megabass jerkbait. Lol. I like to stay around 5-10 bucks for a jerkbait though. Husky jerk , x-rap are usually what I reach for.
  7. I will usually follow with a different bait. Usually a senko. If she doesn't bite then I'll fish for awhile elsewhere and come back in a lil bit. If you hook up with a big one and she shakes the hook, that's probably your only chance at her that day IME.
  8. I'm from Muskegon.. visit there every year and spent most of my life there. I can tell you there are alot more shady things going on in Muskegon than taking credit for someone else's fish. I had a buddy like that once. Except he did catch the fish. It was the first season I used a stickbait. And it was hot everywhere we went. I was having an awesome night and after he was getting skunked I lent him a senko and showed him how to use it . He caught one 23" . And bragged on dramabook how he was Mr BA at bass fishing. Also ran to the truck with the bass and acted a fool. I was not pleased and never went fishing with him again. Live and learn. Dude is not your buddy. Should have took me
  9. Dude go fish it right now !!! Every time I fish murky water like that my chances of a big one seem to go through the roof... For two reasons (when bank fishing) 1 ) they tend to come up shallow !!! Even in the middle of the day. Feeding heavy on it's outmatched forage ! I've seen it time and time again and have found them to literally be right by the bank. Corners are your best bet. ! 2) I strongly believe they are more easily fooled in these conditions (bigger bass). And I don't believe this for no reason!! It's based off my results under all conditions .they just can't see as well ! In super clear water they will see your bait from a distance , zoom up to it and never touch it ! Well in this dark water their lateral line comes into play... All they feel is the vibrations... Get lucky enough to get your bait close to the bass and you get to see that awesome belly roll right in front of you . Happened to me like 2 days ago. My favorite baits for this is a shad rap.in yellow perch (shallow runner) sweeping retrieve.. back and forth.. And any plastic with alot of movement. Any of the rage series. But especially the structure bug and craw. Keep them moving !
  10. They will definitely catch active bass ! Tx weightless and you can rip it like a soft jerkbait ! Then it gets scooped on the way down !!
  11. @cgolf you've never fished a fluke or senko weightless ??? That's the only way I fish those lol..
  12. As a die hard rapala fan(which is now an umbrella over storm). I would still caution you to not go hog wild on all of storms baits lol...
  13. I like using braid in this scenario !! (Not many that I don't really ) Try a trokar hook.. Nice firm sweep with the braid and trokar should get er done. And if you are being patient , maybe be a little less patient. If I feel a tick and I feel like it was a fish I'm setting the hook. Big bass don't nibble anything..
  14. I like it on the "jika" rig with the same retrieve he does on his swinging football head. Also pitching and punching. Awesome bait and durable too. I've had 7+ fish on one bait.
  15. Nice pig I caught tonight in a murky , large chocolate milk pond. 1 of 13 or so... All on a "jika" (or jig) rigged structure bug and keitech crazy flapper... Burning it on the bottom like a swing head. Picture doesn't do it justice ! She had a fat belly and was full of something. Sunfish I'm assuming.
  16. I wear em out on the j rig sometimes... Its alot like a dropshot !! You use a drop shot weight... The hook is under the weight (like a dropshot would be) and one of my best retrieves with it is to drag and shake ... Just like a drop shot ! My favorite way to use it tho is like a swing head with a constant retrieve. And the constant retrieve is what worked today. Just a nice steady speed. went to a big pond that was heavily rained on..The water was high and muddy.. the j rig caught all my fish but one. I had 13-14 all on a j rigged structure bug and keitech crazy flapper. Most fish came on the structure bug.. but the biggest came on the crazy flapper.. Not much difference between the two really. I tend to like the bug more because of durability. The keitech is so soft.. but today the keitech caught the biggest so it's hard to not like it too ! It has a nice action for sure and excels at the steady retrieve technique !!
  17. I thought it was about someone complaining.
  18. I applaud you. For taking a "selfie" and getting the whole fish in the picture (width wise) ! Bugs me so bad when people post pictures of them and their fish and don't have the whole fish in there. But manage to get their whole face... Haha. Like come on man! We wanna see the fish !!! Drives me crazy. Rant over. Nice fish.
  19. Then you should try braid lol
  20. Yessir !X2 !!!! Weightless is my favorite way to fish these by far. !!
  21. In my experience . Warm water jerkbaits need to be fished rather quickly. Try a snap, snap, snap straight down all the way back to you.
  22. They work year round for me. Vary your retrieve... There is no one "do-all" retrieve.
  23. It could save money in the long run... Especially if you fish GY soft plastics lol
