  1. Are they common carp ??
  2. Sounds like a disgruntled Giants fan to me
  3. Looks like you have neighbors to me lol. Love pond fishing... Perfect place to get a quick bass thumb and honestly a chance at catching a real hog !! My PB came out of a pond (the pond was pretty big though ) and Ohio's state record came from a pond as well ! Also like pond fishing for trying new baits and techniques.. because you know you're on the fish.. Ponds are often looked at as being easy or for beginners... But ive been to some pressured ponds that would make a seasoned vet curse . Your bass will learn about you ! Especially the big ones... I have a set of ponds I've been running for about 4 years... And they have gotten used to the senko, popper , fluke, shad rap and hula grub (which are my favorites for pond fishing) .. they can still be had on these baits but it's just not like it used to be... I've had to really change it up when fishing these areas.. Nice fish ! Hard to beat that.. Do you think that whatever broke you off was a carp ?
  4. I don't own any colors that haven't caught bass... Purple , orange, yellow, lime green, pink , white and everything in between. Profile, action and timing outweigh color by about 9 yards (; In other words whatever your team is I guarantee you can make a laminate senko with those colors and catch bass with it.. from blue and silver to purple and yellow...
  5. Skitter pop.. spinning gear with braid..
  6. Your eggs confidence could be based on coincidence... many variables such as location of each bait and time spent using each kind... That being said I bet I have 20+ different color senkos.... And don't have a single pack that didn't catch bass.... Always have leaned towards dark and very bright for dark water and more natural colors for clear.. not sure it matters much.
  7. You could get an x-rap, x-rap countdown, x-rap shallow shad and a skitter walk for the price of one of those 110's... But by all means.. spend your money. I think if megabass was the 6-7 dollar lure and rapala was the 26 dollar then people would rave about them more... They all catch fish !
  8. Lol got him cheesin' in the one with the biggest smallmouth.. Awesome!
  9. Yea dude.... Long story short... Stay out of sight! If you can see them they can see you! I like creature baits for bed fishing..
  10. Surely you know by now girth is important

    Lure ID

    That was my thought. Dinger.
  12. It's a jig with some flash... Everyone says to retrieve it straight and steady but I like to hop them off the bottom, tick the tops of weeds and pitch them into cover.
  13. Tom this is the second time I've seen you say this.. I'm not sure if you're serious or if you're being funny... But don't you think he'd have a boat if he could ?? Lol. It's not in the cards for everyone... Give him yours
  14. What do you fish out of ?? If you're in a kayak get to the bank or at least very shallow water...in a boat you just need to wear her out and grab underneath the gill plate... If you plan on targeting one get a bigger net.
  15. Cut 1/4 off the bait and re hook... Do it all the time, start with a 5" and end up with a 3&3/4 " senko before I grab a new one.
  16. I try to spend my time on the water as happy as possible... Because I spend alot of time wishing I was there.. Slow bite on a big trip is pretty aggravating...
  17. I value big fish much more. In every way... Genetics are more important than this world seems to think sometimes. @IndianaFinesse what's funny about the ten lbers every cast is that you get them on the ned rig
  18. I don't pay nowhere near that for storage trays. Go to harbor freight.
  19. So is the area you're fishing rocks ? Sand or weeds ? You described the bank not the water you're fishing. You can't just aimlessly throw your squarebill and have good results. you have to figure out what is in the water and why or if a bass would be there. .once you have an idea where a bass would be lurking, you need to pick the best lure for it's environment. Sparse rock with sand has many options. That squarebill could produce. I recommend you try a "jika" rigged craw or high action plastic.
  20. What is the something you're always getting Hung up on ? The rocks ?
  21. Are you fishing a channel or??
  22. Get a squarebill there not a deep runner ! Bang those rocks. You need to know how the crank is going to act.. you have the right idea but you're not using a shallow running crank. Try the DT fat 0-3.. if you prefer lucky craft they have a silent one on sale for like 6 bucks.
  23. My thoughts and recommendation as well. I'd be back there for her. You said small pond. Huge bass. She can't go far. I bet you it won't come on that same buzzbait tho
