  1. Check out the video of Ike live lining an octopus on a swimming lure. Truly unique experience from a beloved bass fishing god.
  2. You're right. A troll who loves bass bit not enough to kiss and hug them.
  3. Did I say abuse? Did I say rough? This is all coming from the same guy who I'm sure sets the hook on fish like Tiger Woods on a par 5. You want to snuggle and hug the fish you just ripped half its face off, be my guest. I grab them however the situation dictates, if that be with a fist under the jaw, so be it. I've never cracked a fish's jaw and never left a hook behind. I get hooks out and get em back in and next cast next fish. My point of view, my country. Change your avatar.
  4. You're a real likable guy. I'd love to help such a *****. http://dnr.maryland.gov/fisheries/fishingreport/index.asp Best statewide fishing report I've ever read. Updates weekly. Headed out of Bmore, If your target is LMB you'll have a slow day. There's plenty of action to be had though. I hope u have a crappy day on the water though. And no, that is not even close to upper bay flats. Try looking at a map ;-)

Like senkos, every brand makes a swing impact fat now. Like senkos, often copied never duplicated. If you want the same performance and success you gotta pay to play. We are only talking a few bucks anyway. Suggestion - check eBay for discounted large lots. I've purchased cases of senkos for 10¢ on the dollar before. Oh yeah and use a swimbait hook which you do traditional Texas rig rather than twist look which rip up quick. Stick a tooth pick through bait and through hook eye, clip ends and it'll keep that bait snugger longer
  6. Seriously? Watch how gentle the pros on MLF are with the fish. The only reason they don't flop them on the deck is because 2 min penalty. The rip the hook out weight it, jack it in the air so spectators can see and chuck them back. They are bass not newborn babies. People get all bent out of shape about how people handle fish. If you raking gills, scraping off scales or cracking jaws that's one thing. Everything else is cool or else you'd see dead fish all over the lake. Most people probably don't handle their own kids as gently as the precious bass. It's a joke.
  7. 20 lb braid. Med heavy or heavy rod. Any type of reel. overrhinking the plopper is like over thinking a senko. But overthinking is the purpose of this forum I suppose.
  8. Real simple way to solve issue. Weightless t-rig senko. I fish it in weeds out of weeds on concrete wherever...they catch fish. No hang ups. Action is very similar and catches tons of fish. The weedless wacky hooks usually have one or both of the following issues (1) they don't work (2) they prevent hook ups. If ur going to fish weedless wacky, go weighted to that the weed guard is down facing a deflecting weeds of from skinny to narrow part of hook rather than bend descending first. Always use a two fingered knuckle dragged knot too
  9. Concern? Don't be concerned about lure selection they'll hit just about anything on the golf course. What you need to concern yourself with is not spooking the bass but since you're a pond fisherman, I'm sure you maintain a subtle presence.
  10. You cannot honest believe that any of these youtube folks are creating videos "to 'teach' us how to fish..." I agree they may very well say that in their videos but, come on, you don't believe everything you read, hear or see on the internet, right? An example of someone putting forth effort to teach someone to fish would be a older fisherman at the lake taking time out of his day on the water to show a kid how to tie a knot, how to cast farther, how to work a lure, etc. If you can't see the difference between donating your time and selling your time, you need to get your eyes checked. Now I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with selling your time, however, there is a fine line between working for your money and being worked for money. If you can tell the difference, when you come upon the latter, hit "next."
