  1. I have a rod specific to giant prop baits. The original Megabass Mephisto SB. Peacock bass killer.
  2. I don't think I'll ever forget that day. RIP to the fallen.
  3. I'm a big fan of whiskey stones. They're small 'rocks' that have been shaped into ice cubes. Keep them in the freezer.
  4. Yes. I have the 21. It's magnificent.
  5. This one will be substantial. Stay safe all!
  6. Don't forget quality mixers. I'm a fan of Fever Tree tonic.
  7. Most definitely the fall. Weather cools down, zero to no wind, and the stripers go nuts at my local lakes. Perfection.
  8. Your last music video was great! Cool hair.
  9. The Steez is a great spinning reel, but does not compare to the Stella.
  10. Good going AJay!
  11. Just a few? Pfft. I challenge you to a bass fishing contest. Loser washes winner's boat.
  12. Reading books, gardening, and antique hunting are my primary hobbies. Probably more so that actual fishing. Oh and buying JDM tackle.
  13. We're all getting old on this site.
  14. my friend set up in Idaho with camera equipment and shot this video that shows the transition from full sun to totality. Pretty cool to see the effects in real time.

  17. None of the reality shows are 'real' My wife and I happened to be in Las Vegas a couple years back, and stopped in at the Pawn Stars shop. They happened to be in process to start filming and asked us to stay for the episode. It was cool to see them getting set up, and by the way, none of the stars actually 'work' there, there are people behind the counter selling items however most of what they have are souvenirs! Once they started filming, Rick came out, the seller approached (the guy had a brick from Janice Joplin's house or something) and they started into their back and forth. Every other sentence, The producer would cut and tell Rick EXACTLY what to say. So all of his lines are scripted, he basically just shows up and they feed him his lines. When they were done, Rick says to everyone there, "I'm sure this is a huge let down, but now you know the reality of how this is done."
  18. It took me the better part of four months to sort out the registration for my boat and trailer that I bought from Louisiana with the DMV here in CA. Apparently the dealership didn't send the correct forms, and then I ended up doing something wrong at DMV as well when they had to physically inspect the boat and trailer. I was praying that I would not get pulled over for towing a boat with no tags and no boat ID numbers on my way to DMV, which would have added another layer of fun. A couple months in I received a letter from DMV and I thought, "Well, that wasn't too bad". Wrong. It was a request for correction of some documents. A couple days later I received another letter from DMV with a CA sales tax bill. Thanks DMV!
  19. Fantastic!
  20. Currently dealing with onset on my mother. It's a tough situation. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  21. The Shimano Calcutta and Conquest reels are amazing.
  22. I'm so glad I found a new Z522 before Ranger was bought out. The bean counters at BPS will find a way to produce parts that you'll find on all of the brands they now own. It's really too bad.
  23. Guys, To the several of you that have pm'd me offering to buy the gen 1 carrot stik, I appreciate it but at this time I have no interest in selling. Thanks!
  24. Somewhere, I have a 1st generation first run carrot stick. Used a handful of times. Such an ugly rod.
