  1. Am I the only one having this problem? Whenever I open up a thread there are a few members here whose signature pics take up half the page and the therefore the whole page layout taxes up a screen and a half. Maybe it's my settings? Sorry Ajay, I love your posts but your sig pic is one of the culprits....
  2. This is the primary reason I now only buy tackle I don't plan on selling. Ever.
  3. Aahhh...the art of negotiating price on anything for sale. I find that there's a fine line between a fair offer and an offensive one. I always try to err on the side of caution. Too offensive and you may not get the item at any price.
  4. Amazing. Thanks for sharing. The only thing that's missing is a cocktail. Ice at the ready.
  5. They had soap in the 1700's?
  6. Grew up in a small town on the central coast of California in the 70's. The best of times. You couldn't pay me to be a kid in this day and age.
  7. Would love to have an actual 1 of 1000. But they cost as much as a house now.
  8. Winchester '73. The original with Jimmy Stewart. Others come close, but that movie for me is tops.
  9. At some point, New Orleans would be fun.
  10. Did somebody say...Italian food? My wife makes pasta from scratch, sauce as well. I make a pretty good lobster ravioli. It's a wonder I can keep at ~200 lbs.
  11. I believe it is. It's missing the front cover, which doesn't matter much for my use.
  12. Thanks! I wish it was bigger. I could fill a few of them.
  13. Found this antique oak tool chest. Makes a great display case for some of my reels and lures.
  14. Terribly sorry for your loss.
  15. Put some short legs on this and you have a beautiful piece of furniture.
  16. Good. Lord. They're lucky to be alive, and the fact that the captain of the speeding boat is pleading not guilty is beyond my comprehension.
  17. Hope you feel better soon, but not getting a flu shot is silly. The one year that my wife and I simply put off getting the flu shot we were both sicker than we've ever been in our life. I'll never do that again. The flu seems to get worse every year!
  18. Mudslides area big issue in southern California. Lucky for us we were spared in the north...
  19. 56 here today with light showers. Will be up to 70 this weekend.
  20. And here I thought this thread was about refrigerators. I don't know how you folks do it living in that cold weather.
  21. Beary nicely done.
  22. The best gift my wife could give me is time. We are both very busy with work, and I really look forward to time spent with just the two of us. Now depending on budget, a fishing trip would be great for the both of you. You can hire a guide or go to a lodge. There are quite a few in the states that are nice and there are different places suitable for different budgets. Personally, I'd love to take my wife to Brazil on one of my Amazon trips, but the fist sized bugs would drive her bananas.
  23. In my opinion one of the most beautiful bikes ever made. I'd prefer black with gold pinstripes, but there's one floating around that's Navajo blue and it is stunning. I'll take the right bike at the right price and have it painted if needed.
  24. Anyone else into old bikes? I'm on the hunt for a '37-'38 Indian Chief. If anyone of you know of someone that has one they'd like to part with, send me a pm please. I'd also consider a '35, '36 or '39. Something along the lines of this.
