  1. Those fish are beautiful, welcome!
  2. It would be an honor to become half the man my dad is. But I'm pushing for 95%.
  3. Oh and no, I don't have the Yamazaki 50...but I do have a bottle of Pal-Marie et Fils 58 Year Grand Champagne Cognac I picked up a few years back. Someday I may even drink it!
  4. The rods on the far left are the fiberglass Megabass Destroyer Tomahawk F4-610GT3 Shiryu and Megabass Destroyer Tomahawk Destroyer F4-70GT3 US Tour Limited. They were originally released in 2007. Finding new examples has proven to be rather difficult. These two came up from a collector so I snatched them up quickly. The two slant bridge rods are a Megabass Mephisto, and a Megabass F 41/2 - 68xFti Jabberwock Evolution. Also, pretty difficult to obtain as they were released originally in 2006 and 2007 then evolved into non slant bridge models. The rod in the rod sock is a Megabass Ito F3 1/2-70XSGti Jade Python slant bridge. Looks like two rods but it's actually a 2 piece spinning rod. In the last several years of searching for a new one its the only one I've found. They don't come up too often and like the other SB rods, are highly coveted. For the most part, these rods and reels trade privately amongst collectors like myself. Sometimes they do come up for sale on the Japanese auction sites. There's also a site that is pretty much dedicated to high end jdm tackle. Out of respect for BR I won't post the name of the site, but it's fairly easy to find. Good luck with your search, sometimes it's like finding buried treasure.
  5. This arrived at the office today. Will pair with my Gan Craft Junk. I think I'm done buying tackle for some time.
  6. Flying to DC in a few weeks for a Redskins game.
  7. Buy a Silverado instead.
  8. Too many times to count. Commercial and private. Worst place to fly into? Probably Denver. The turbulence a couple times was terrible.
  9. I have the Hibiki 12 and 17, haven't opened them yet.
  10. Tipptruck won the national spelling bee. J Franco wears skinny jeans. Oh wait....
  11. I'd highly recommend against it. Go grey instead
  12. I'm waiting to hear about Tipptruck's last concert. I had no idea that Justin Bieber put on a good show, but according to Tipp, he does.
  13. I'll be shipping the cowl out after Thanksgiving. I considered a set of custom graphics, but the new graphics match up with the boat's color scheme pretty well. I like the fact that they're a bit more subtle than the current graphics.
  14. True, but I'd still have a damaged cowling sitting in the stables. I'd rather have a back up that's ready to put on in the improbable case that the new cowling is damaged. About the same, I'd say approximately 25 lbs.
  15. Recently, I took my wife to see Willie Nelson and Allison Krauss opened for him. Easily the best concert I've been to in years. It was a very small private venue, and we were 3 rows back. The best part of the concert? Seeing his guitar, Trigger, on stage for a few minutes on a stand before Willie came out.
  16. When my boat was delivered a couple months back, the cowling was damaged. I've since researched and apparently it can be repaired to look brand new. I've decided to send it off to a repair shop and have it updated. Also, The graphics will be redone to the '16 graphics that were changed. My boat hull is a '16, and the motor is a late '15. The new graphics actually match my boat colors much better. At the end of the day, shipping included, I'm looking at approximately $1,000. Old Mercury Racing 300xs graphics. New Mercury Racing 300xs graphics.
  17. To me the high end tackle serves two purposes. Fun to collect, and fun to use. There is something quite satisfying from using my stuff.
  18. Great post boys.
  19. Congratulations! That's a beauty of a boat. May you catch your personal best in it.
  20. J Franco weighs 240 lbs. tipptruck is a tenor for the San Francisco Opera. Raider is a pastor.
  21. My list is short, but I plan on adding a name or two in the near future. Ed Bass Master Russ Thetonia
  22. That's about right for the market. I don't see these going down in value anytime soon. This came in as well. Tank of a reel. Putting a carbon handle on it and a tune from Ian.
  23. Easily the most beautiful reel I now own. Will look even better once it's used and marred up a bit. Time to start a custom rod build to pair with this beauty. I hope to have it completed by the spring time. Megabass Monoblock Racing Viola. Only 24 lefties and 24 righties ever made. Sold out instantly. They're trading hands at crazy prices. I was fortunate to be at the right place at the right time to buy this for not much more than what they originally sold for. I've seen them sell in this condition for $4,000 plus.
