  1. Chatterbait is not new, there's a blade called the Eaker shaker from the 80s. Allen
  2. WTD are my favorite period but will use whatever is working. Allen
  3. The unofficial industry standard is what ever weight is listed it is just the weight of the lead itself. Cast Industries, Tight line angler, and Southern spincasting all use this standard. So a 5/16oz spinnerbait should weigh 5/16 just inlead. Hooks, wire, blades, skirts, etc. Are all additional weight. This is generally true for almost everything in bass fishing? Hell go weight one of your 5" weightless senkos once and see what it says. Allen
  4. Personally I fish whatever works no matter who makes it. My job affords me enough money that I can buy whatever I want. That being said price does not equate to fish catching ability. My main example of this is deep diving crankbaits. A Strike King 5 series outfishes everything I have tried period. I have LC, Megabass, and just about every thing else but over10' nothing comes close. On top of that my #2 crank for that depth is a Fat free shad. Allen
  5. Normally I just hoard stuff in my garage and basement. Last couple of years its become so bad that you can't walk around in the basement. I have been selling off stuff or giving it away to the Jr. Bassmasters club. With that said I have a long way to go! Plan is to sell off about 300 hardbaits over the winter. Allen
  6. X2 Allen
  7. Most of the time I use 1/4oz. Allen
  8. Lurecraft has some open pour ones. Allen
  9. The Owner ones are my favorite, forget what they are called though? Allen
  10. Please send me the info on the custom baits site. Allen
  11. Cast Industries makes their own heads so buying from them unpainted makes the most sense. We just need need to figure out frame size and diameter along with hook size first. The purple front blade is made by Worth and based on size ratio to the bait a size 3 Colorado. Rear blade question? Is it just beat to hell or does it have a colored flake clear coat on it? Head is painted watermelon with a Createx orange pearl throat and large pupil gold eyes either 5 or 6mm. Skirt I recognize some of the colors but would have to see it in hand to be exact . Can you tell yet I know a thing or two about spinnerbaits? Best thing would be for you to send me one? Does not have to be in one piece I would just need all the pieces. I know its your favorite so if you only have one just send it to me during the winter and I will return it after taking some measurements and photos. Allen
  12. Or you can just send me a message with what you want? Allen
  13. Blaspheme! Allen
  14. Highly doubt that is a factory made spinnerbait. Green pumpkin head color says Cast Industries but they use a darker orange. Good news is it can be recreated. Can you post close up pictures of the head along with the rear behind the skirt? Also need to see what the rear blade looks like. Allen
  15. These are the ones I have started making. Now I can't tie so a buddy of mine ties the hair for me. These are just sparkie heads that I added a FG12 weedguard pin to in a spincast mold. I glue the weedguards in last because its easier to tie them without the weedguard in. Allen
  16. Probably easier to just get someone else to make them unless you really want to get into baitmaking. Allen
  17. I will use action trailers until say November but a Zoom Super Chunk works year round. Allen
  18. Lurecraft will have the most options. Allen
  19. Bottom is the 4ft diving version of the baby 1 minus. After catching so many fish on the 1 minus I gave that c4 plenty of chances. Fished it so much I swear I grounded the corners round on rocks and never caught anything. Allen
  20. Take into account where someone is from with their advice. Fall fishing is a lot different in Texas than it is in Michigan. Here in Merryland: Spinnerbaits Topwater Jerkbaits As it starts to get a little colder finesse jigs. Allen
  21. 3rd The jig is just a football with too much blue mixed in IMO. Allen
  22. Yes, they all will eventually sink or float up. If I cast out a LC Pointer and reel it down to depth I cannot come back in a week to it still suspended. LC labeling: SP= Suspending F = Floating S = Sinking EXS = Extra fast sinking that you will only see on saltwater baits. Allen
  23. https://barlowstackle.com/do-it-cnc-4-zipper-goby-worm-mold/ Is this it? Allen
  24. There are now molds being sold of similar baits. Allen
