  1. Machine is called a duplicator and I believe Cliff Pace bought the machines from Zoom after Ed passed. Allen
  2. YOU NAILED IT! Definitely a Kraken attack. Allen
  3. Another thing to consider is time of year. A lot of baits you try to sell today for $30 may not sell. List them for $40 in January and they will sell right away. Allen
  4. Anyone that has fishing stickers they don't want I will trade you for something? The Jr bassmasters kids like to put them on tackle boxes, etc. so I can always use more. Allen
  5. Only thing that makes since is he backed down with one side of the truck on the dock and flipped. Allen
  6. That's why I posted it? How do you flip a truck upside down on a boat ramp? Just imagine pulling up to that boat ramp to launch and seeing this? Allen
  7. I have seen many failures at the boat ramp but this one has me at a loss of words? Found this on Facebook and everytime I look all I think is how? Truck is upside down but the trailer isn't? On a scale. Of 1 to 10 worst traler backing this person is at 27 Allen
  8. This one is great. Allen
  9. I give any fishing related stickers to the local Jr Bassmasters club. They hold a fishing flea market every year to raise money and the kids like the stickers. Allen
  10. Here is my twist on chartreuse/white. Both colors of the skirt and the paint have iridescent blue highlight. Allen
  11. I have about 300 different colors of silicone skirt tabs and buy any new colors that come out. Charles at fishingskirts.com has made me 3 custom colors in the past because I was one of his first customers. Since I airbrush my spinnerbaits basically, I can make whatever color I want. The past two years I have been making baits based on pictures of baitfish. Some are easy and some are hard? The yellow perch ones I make have 5 colors of paint on the head and 9 different colors of silicone strands. Allen
  12. Pleasure boats are a PITA in Maryland to deal with. I was fishing the Potomac once and it was early November, so I was not expecting any other boats besides other fisherman. Next thing I know two jet skies blow by me one on each side of my boat. Air temp was like 40 so I was thinking what the hell? Both operators were wearing full scuba suits with googles and looked like henchmen that would be chasing James Bond. Allen
  13. The reason I hate making them is there are 100's of companies making this color. To me it is unimaginative and boring. Allen
  14. I hate making chartreuse and white spinnerbaits but a buddy asked me to make this. It's a 1/2oz on a titanium frame with beveled willow blades. Allen
  15. The way I got into pouring is I couldn't find Eakins finesse jigs in green pumpkin. BPS was always out of them so someone explained to me how to make them myself. Bought the Do-It mold and the hotpot ladle melter for like $50. That mold paid for itself at least 10 years ago. Now I have a couple more molds and some better equipment to work with. Luremaking is a hobby just like fishing. Allen
  16. I use them for the double fluke rig. Allen
  17. I have been trying to coordinate a Maryland get together for a couple years. Allen
  18. Some idiot put the snakeheads in there the same way we now have flathead catfish. Allen
  19. Benefits to me is making baits exactly like I want. You have to use a lot of jigs to recoup initial costs. Allen
  20. So do you know what the bass are feeding on? I say this to echo Tom's comment about the gold blades. I have been making spinnerbaits for over 15 years and can tell you everyone in Florida wants gold blades. It has to do with the golden shiners being the dominant prey for FL LM. All the people I have dealt with want a 3/8oz spinnerbait with larger than average double gold willows and a whitish with gold skirt. Now I have never fished in FL but based on the above requirements the water is shallow and larger than average golden shiners were the prey. Allen
  21. If you are using a heavy weight than yes. Normally you use a lighter weight and the bait floats down giving the bass a chance to eat it or not? With a heavy weight it zooms by them so fast they don't have time to decide so their natural instinct is to strike. Allen
  22. 5 years later GP still works best for me. Now my go-to clear water color is Natural Shad when there are baitfish present. This year I have to give honorable mention to one that has been working really well. Problem is the packages got wet, the stickers pealed so I don't have the color name? If you hold it up to the light it's a green in-between watermelon and GP and has small red flakes. Allen
  23. The one on the left is what I have been looking for. Allen
  24. That is strange to hear? The biggest LM I usually catch every year are on a black jig during a 3 day warming period in March. Allen
