  1. You should look at the War Eagle screaming Eagle and finesse. Otherwise have Siebert make you some on a R2 .035 frame with smaller blades. Double willows a 3.5 and 4, colorado front blade either 2 or 3 depending on the bait color. Allen This is a bait I made to match Yamamotos Natural Shad color. I am rotating through 4 of them but I have caught 153 bass and a catfish on this bait since May last year. Allen
  2. Top 5 for me going back 15years. Baby1- RC 1.5 Bandit 100, 200, 300 Rebel Deep wee-r SK 5 series While I have tons of more expensive crankbaits these work the best. There are others that work but have not proven themselves over time like the ones on the list. Allen
  3. Where you are at a suggest you buy some swim jigs. White is a definite then a bluegill color just swim them slowly. Allen
  4. The ones you have are probably Mustad 91768 hooks. I use a VMC hook that is a little thinner and shaped different. Flukes are a clear water bait so I fish them on 8-10lb Floro with a spinning rod. Heavy duty EWG hooks are not an option for me. Allen
  5. 1/16oz Weight keels the bait and it doesn't nose dive like a bullet weight. I do have a couple I sanded down some to make them lighter. Allen
  6. This is what I have been using most of the year. The river current this year was strong so the bait just washed away. While I don't like pouring soft plastics I do make most of the flukes I use. This color was a mistake by a buddy I was teaching. He shoot like 30 of them before I noticed so we just used them. Allen
  7. This is the hook to use if you need the bait to sink. Flukes are a shallow water bait for me but sometimes I need to combat the current. Allen
  8. I have had 4k Eagle Claw 570 hooks on order since last October. From a luremaking standpoint this is top 10 most popular hook used. Allen
  9. WTB: Bill Dance Lure Retriever Allen
  10. That is an Owner cutting point and it is a toss-up between them and Trokar for most expensive spinnerbait hook. Allen
  11. This one in the color you see or all black. Allen
  12. Depends on what I am fishing but 12" is my starting point. Allen
  13. I have some but have not tried them yet. Allen
  14. Accents and matching the hatch gives me more confidence. Lures are the only thing I have ever done in my life that is artistic. Allen
  15. Pure white I would add like 3 or 4 strands to the sides or some black on the back? I am not the expert on simple spinnerbait colors though? Kind of have this OCD thing going on with mine. Allen
  16. Who changes the from blade of a spinnerbait on the water? Allen
  17. War Eagle Screaming Eagle is what you want. They are 1/2oz with a downsized frame and smaller blades. Allen
  18. I have 2 Lowriders that I use for spinnerbaits and have had zero problems? For what you are using it for just find a 7' MH Rod you like and go with it. Allen
  19. Four Locks and Big Slackwater have been terrible the past couple of years. Dargen is hit or miss? Going to be spending more time at Big Eddy next year on the Shenandoah. Allen
  20. Sent the Latvian one back she was too much of a pain. Looking at a getting one from Brazil next. Allen
  21. Here is what they look like after being casted. Now comes the fun part of sanding to Frankenstein them. Allen
  22. All the time for riversmallies! That's why I make my own spinnerbaits. A hidden weight 1/2oz on a smaller frame so it doesn't roll in current. Allen
  23. September depends on the temperature which varies year to year. It goes from topwater to spinnerbaits then jerkbaits for me. Allen
  24. Aren't they discontinued? Allen
