  1. Not sure of any Kayak anglers but I do know 4 guys that bass fish that are within a mile of me. Allen
  2. This is the best thing to do IMO. You can be the most accurate caster on Earth but the one dock that has people something will go wrong. Wind gust, wave hits your boat, etc. something always happens. I have only had one small argument with a dock owner in all my years fishing. Now trout fishermen are a completely different story. Allen When I click on that link the first thing I see is "21 Naughtiest photos of all time ". Allen
  3. No sticks no stems!
  4. Yes, can't seem to find one? Allen
  5. Do you have any Foreign Officers in your class? I had a CPT from Saudia Arabia that was not on time for anything the whole 18 weeks. Once the base commander was going to speak to the class and they said under no circumstances should anyone be late unless you are dying. Well CPT Arabia comes in about 15 minutes late slurping on a coolata he had to stop and get. If a US Officer could kill someone with a stare about 15 people would have killed him that day. Allen
  6. Some kind of issue with it uploading? Shouldn't you be roadmarching or studying sexual harassment? Allen
  7. You REALLY should be throwing some whiteish colored swim jigs now. I was there from July to the beginning of November. Out of the 10 biggest fish I caught 8 were on swim jigs in September or October. If you don't have any or can't find any send me your info and I will send you some. Have you caught a meanmouth bass yet? Allen
  8. That's what I am talking about! Bait works great, doesn't cost $25.99, and catches fish. So while I never heard of that bait I will buy a couple to try. Allen

  11. Spinnerbaits are on fire here in Merryland which should last for about 2 more weeks. Transition from summer to fall is always the best time for me with spinnerbaits. I have caught fish March to November on them but late September is usually the best. Allen
  12. So, I see on here all the time when people ask for bait recommendations and expensive baits like Megabass, etc, come up. Well based on a person's situation not everyone can buy a dozen Vision 110's. Wanted to start a thread about inexpensive baits that work but don't cost a mortgage payment to buy 4 of them. I ask that everyone adds to my list but don't just name a bait you caught some fish on last week? Please list tried and true baits that have performed for you for several seasons. Crankbaits= Bandit baits from the footloose to the 300 just flat-out work and make my top 5 crankbait list no matter what the price. Manns baby1- no better sub 2' crankbait has ever been made and my PB crankbait fish of 6-1 was caught on this bait. SK 4 and 5 series deeper divers are the only bait I can consistently catch fish over 10' and I only use 4 different colors. Rebel Deep Wee-R, heard this way discontinued but I still see them at Wal-Mart so I don't know? What I do know is they are a silent fish catching machine, but you may want to change the stock hooks out? Jerkbaits= I am just going to reference the ones that work for me? I say that because apparently, I am the only jerkbait fisherman in the US who can't catch a fish on the X-Rap. Smithwick Rogue- KVD won a Bassmasters Classic on this bait in like 2005? I have been using then since about 2001 and they just work, Rapala Husky Jerk- this one works great for me overall but does better in Lakes than it does the river. Allen
  13. The thing to pay attention to is the letters behind the numbers. Example a Pointer 100sp means it is 100mm's long and suspending (SP). The other letters I know are F floating, SPDD suspending double deep, S sinking, SR shallow runner and the is an extra fast sinking that I think is EXS but not positive? The extra fast sinking you will only find in saltwater series anyway. Allen
  14. Try the Owner weighted hook. Allen
  15. Roadwarrior makes and sells fishing scented candles. He has squid, night crawler, craw, shad, and chicken liver scent. Allen
  16. I don't think I own one over 3/8oz? White or black 1/4oz is what I use 90% of the time Allen
  17. Just a name, US they are called a Pointer and the JDM calls them B'Freeze. Allen
  18. Spinnerbaits and a shad colored texas rigged worm are working for me right now. Allen
  19. Working on some of these myself. What did you use for skirts? Allen

    Zoom fluke

Clear water spring and fall usually. Allen
  21. You need to change something up? They followed it all the way there because they liked it but were unsure. A lot of times when I get hits right at the boat its either I stopped moving the bait or it speeds up when pulling it out of the water. Allen
  22. Early March about 1pm and there was still ice on part of the lake. LM 8.2LBS 24.5" on a solid black 1/2oz jig. Allen
  23. For this it depends on who is with me? So many new coanglers joined our club I had to be comfortable with their casting ability before I took them around other people's property. Had one guy hook a crankbait on someones boat cover. Another lassoed a senko around a steering wheel. Learned just to keep them out of casting distance. Allen
  24. Years ago I watched a video from Al Linder where he talked about vertical versus horizontal baits. Basically are the fish active and chasing baits or do you have to hit them on the head to bite. I almost always start out with a spinnerbait, crankbait, etc just something that moves. What I am looking for is followers. If they follow the bait but don't strike I need to switch baits. If I don't see any or get no bites I switch over to a bottom contact bait. There are too many variables to get into it all but that's how I start most days of fishing. Allen
