  1. Smallest super fluke or 3" Senko both weightless will tell you if there is anything in there. No use trying to throw a larger bait until you know something big enough to eat it lives there. Allen
  2. The most accurate description of catching a Walleye ever! Hit like a Freight Train them it just feels like you snagged a wet shirt. Smallmouth bulldog and dive but yeah they do not fight as hard in freezing water. Latest I have caught a Riversmallie is December 27th and the earliest is January 1st. Coldest water temp was 34 degrees and I managed one on a hair jig. February is the worst month IMO? Allen
  3. I have been working on making a new chatterbait trailer for 2 years now. Nothing on the market I totally like. LFT is nice I just wish the tail was vertical. Trying out different baits to see what I like and what I don't? Honestly what I have been working on is similar to the new Berkeley bait. Allen
  4. I would try a Sleeper gill myself. Allen
  5. They probably just think it looks like something they can eat. I mean what does a chartreuse spinnerbait supposed to represent? Allen
  6. Bought some of these from Ebay to try as a chatterbait trailer. Anyone tried these yet? Allen
  7. I bought this rod in January of 2005 and I think it is built on a Rainshadow blank? Allen
  8. Manns baby 1- in bone or chartreuse Bandit Footloose Jackal Zero footer Allen
  9. 6-10 MH Fast 10-17lb 1/4 to 3/4oz Allen
  10. If you are bored, I could use someone that can tie bear hair jigs? Everytime I try to tie hair I end up looking like the Grinch with hair glued to my fingertips. Allen
  11. Blade is a little small for that bait? If it isn't running right try bending the wire coming out of the head more torward the hook. Allen
  12. Problem is with Kistler is they have used so many blank manufacturers over the years nobody knows what was used? This is why I love St. Croix rods! I know based on their system how a rod will feel without ever touching one for the most part. Looking into options for a custom rod to replace this right now since I cannot find a used one anywhere. Allen
  13. My issue with the whopper plopper is the tiniest piece of grass stops it from spinning. Heddon torpedo I can be dragging a whole oak tree on the rear hook and the prop still spins. Allen
  14. Gamakatsu hooks for sale $2 a pack plus actual shipping. Five packs of 5/0 and 2/0, and 1 pack of 4/0. Picked these up in a trade and will never use them. Allen
  15. What was your casualty? Allen
  16. My favorite rod a Kistler California Series Senko rod that I bought in like 2005 had an accident. Rod was a 6-10 but I rolled down the rear window in my Tahoe and before realizing some of my rod tips were against the glass I rolled it up. Broke about an inch off the rod which I know can be fixed but it will never be the same again. This rod has caught 5 of my biggest 10 bass and while not the most sensitive it has been the best creature bait rod ever. I will have it repaired as I owe it that much, but I guess it is time to replace it with something better. Allen
  17. Don't mess with him! The brotherhood of tackle hoarders is strong and will find you. Allen
  18. Agreed, why would you go fishing with just one lure? My luck I would break it off on the first cast. Allen
  19. Always like it when you post your collection of baits. It makes me feel better about all the stuff I have. Allen
  20. From what I understand Ed Chambers would sit down every year and just make what he wanted. Baits and colors were whatever he felt like making. Allen
  21. A lot better than my first one for sure. Two suggestions; move the skirt further up on the head, and turn the swivel around. Moving the skirt up is just an aesthetic thing. Swivel will spin easier if turned around the other way. Allen
  22. Seibert can make those jigs . Allen
  23. Bigger baits catch bigger fish! Additionally, by the fall the baitfish are bigger so you can get away with bigger jerkbaits. Allen
  24. They are definitely hard to find sometimes. We have a lot of diverse places to fish. The best state I have ever been for bass fishing was Missouri. I swear every house or trailer had a 2 acre pond in the back yard. Even caught a couple meanmouth bass. Allen
  25. Not sure what is funnier? Thor's hammer Mjolnir or the fillet of fish. Allen
