  2. Post some more pics of the bait I always like to see other peoples work. Allen
  3. Just about anywhere on what is considered the Upper Potomac has SM. Allen
  4. I have only fished there once last summer and there was nothing but grass! The lake does have a lot of small yellow perch that I suspect is a large food source for bass so I would digout my perch colored baits. From the launch ramp straight across is a bank that has a steep drop off that maybe good. The main place I would try is to the right at the riprap and the small cove to the left of the riprap. Allen
  5. At a weapons expo while I was in MP school at Ft. Leonard Wood I agreed to let the Tazer rep shock me. He used aligator clips on the ends of the probes one attached to my shirt and the other to my belt. I have been shocked with a stun gun, maced, pepper sprayed and tazed but the tazing was the worst for me. Tazer is trying to sell guns to civilians with a 30 second burst aimed at womens self defense. Allen
  6. Those are the ones used on Lucky Craft crankbaits, correct? I believe so but someone on here is going to say VMC sharpened by Daiichi? :-? Why would a Japanese company buy American hooks then have them sharpened in Japan :-? but I do not want to start a ticking match. I will just say that they are really sharp and have worked well for me. Allen
  7. Posted that while I was drinking But you are right I need to change it. Yes I know what a Tazer X-26 feels like and I do not wish that on anyone that is a law abiding citizen. Allen

    Airbrush

Also look for the Micheals (craft store) 40% off coupons as they sell airbrushes. Allen
  9. Yes and the 103623 is the Norman dd14. Check out these guys for some more cranks? http://www.luremaking.com/catalogue/catalogue-index/catalogue-items/crankbaits/glued-crankbaits/glued_diver_bodies_.htm The 3" fat shallow diver works well to and use to be sold at one of the major retailers in the US like Jann's. The 2.5" bluegill looks like it would work as well? Allen
  10. Daiichi death traps in black nickel. Allen
  11. While the best bait depends on the day here are my overall top 5: LC pointer 78sp, LC Slender pointer 97mr, Team Daiwa 1091, Smithwick Rogue, Xcalibur XS4 Honorable mention: LC pointer 65sp (works great but catches a lot of small fish), Evergreen M-1 inspire minnow (would make a top ten list), Rapala Husky Jerk (works great for me in non-moving water but not rivers), Megabass Vision 110 (all or nothing bait? either they are all over it or nothing) Allen
  12. X2 Allen
  13. Only a closet full? :-? Some of us have looked into renting a storage unit. Allen
  14. No but I picked up 3 of them at a fishing show last month because they look good. Allen
  15. Yes, you will just need to practice with the paint and gun. My rattlecan paint jobs look better than the airbrush ones but I am working on it. Allen
  16. More than likely they are? They sell a plastic crank that is very similar to a Bandit 200 that works well. Stay away from the ones that you have to glue the two sides together they are a PITA. Allen
  17. X3 but for a mild stain opaque colored baits like Pearl ayu, chart. shad are what I use. Muddy water means black jig close to cover as possible. Allen
  18. For the price Lurecraft are hard to beat but aluminum is the best. Most of the molds I have are lurecraft but I do have some aluminum. If you are good with silicone, RTV, bondo you can make your own but I have yet to try. The molds JigMan posted look good and maybe you can convince him to make some for you? Allen
  19. http://www.barlowstackle.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=6&Product_ID=2020&CATID=57 This is the hook. I was able to glue the weedguards in but some of them came out. Since I glue my weedguards in after powderpainting there is less room for a guard. The mold had to be modified just to accept the larger hooks. You maybe able to just pour them with the weedguard in place? I pour outside and right now there is a couple inches of snow on my pouring table so I cannot try it out. Allen
  20. While I am not as technical as some of the previous posts for years I wore the $10 Wal-Mart glasses. I was always squinting and at the end of a long day of fishing my eyes hurt. A buddy of mine talked me into buying some Costa Del Mars at BPS that were about $100 and I can say that I will not be without good glasses again! I would rather leave all my electronics at home than my good glasses that is how important they are. Allen
  21. Daiichi death traps I would put these up against any treble made. Allen
  22. Shot with DiMAGE E500 at 2006-10-04 Here are the raw heads: Far left 4/0 Owner deep throat 3/16, next 4/0 Gama 594 (I think that is the model number?) Allen
  23. I have a couple 3/16oz jigs I made on a Gama 60 degree flippin hook with the fine cut silicone. They are buried somewhere in my basement because they didn't work for me too slow of a fall for my taste? This weekend I will try to find them and post some pics. Allen
  24. I know Mudhole was selling some as closeout items but I do not remember that model? Shikari was bought out by ATC (I think that is their name?) and they have discountinued the blanks. Allen
