Split ring pliers! I have all but given up on carving crankbaits :-/ Allen
  3. You could just buy a replacement eye from Jann's etc? Allen
  4. Hare jigs, small tubes, drop shot and crankbaits are what I have seen work in water with those temps. Allen

    Jigs

X3 The only store bought jigs I use are SK Pro models thats because I cannot find out where to buy that particular rattle. Allen
  6. I have 2 like in the picture above and have not lost a lure from the boat in over a year. As for the telescopic retrievers BPS never had any in stock so I use a light bulb changer from Wal-Mart. This retriever works best to get your buddies lures out of the trees and doubles as a small push pole. Allen
  7. The spinnerbait box is the best thing I have ever used for them! The spinnerbait/buzzbait one is nice but I do not use a lot of buzzbaits so I feel almost 1/2 is wasted? I wil admit they are nice but I find that I cannot put enough baits in most of them besides the spinnerbait one? I always end up going back to regular 360 or 370 boxes with tangled baits because I can carry more. I had the terminal tackle box which worked well but I dropped it in a parking lot breaking about half the lid off but I still use it. Allen
  8. Now I know who I can send my cork to for handles! Looks good Allen
  9. Sorry didn't answer the original post :-[ Jann's is good for plastic crankbait bodies but check out lurecraft.com or luremaking.com in that order for your supplies. I say that order because luremaking.com is in Canada and the shipping is more but they are good to deal with. Allen
  10. A lot of people just use regular foil? I use tape from Wal-Mart that looks like foil duct tape but I forget what it is called? A role the size of a normal duct tape roll is like $6? Allen
  11. shawncollinscustoms.com but they are not cheap. Allen
  12. Shot at 2007-10-12 Some spare jerkbaits. Allen
  13. Shot with DiMAGE E500 at 2007-02-07 As you can clearly see I do not suffer from OCD. Allen
  14. Well said Since money is not an issue send some my way! Allen
  15. Zoom super chunks 4" grub for swimming jigs Just about anything will work though? Allen
  16. Ok, I just spent the last 20 minutes deleting old PM's and I did not see anything about a trade? What do I need to send you then as I am working on a list? Allen
  17. Rapala Husky Jerk Smithwick Rogue Bomber Long A Strike King Wild Shiner Allen
  18. I like about a 3" natural colored minnow bait. Last year I had a the best luck on a Hawgshad 2.8" minnow but I used them all and could not find more. Now I have a soft plastic mold and just pour my own out of supersoft plastic. If the fish are really feeding a 2.5" fluke works real well. Allen
  19. Super glue gel is what I use to glue in the weedguards unless I am clearcoating painted jigs at the time with Devcon then I just use that. Looks like I need to find something to trade you for some of those football jigheads? Allen
  20. Look good! Balsa is about the softest wood I have ever seen and honestly could be carved with a dull butter knife literally. Big M who posted earlier makes cranks and could give you info on where to best buy the right balsa. Myself I always seem to end up carving my finger so me wood widdling is at a minimum :-[. For the wire I picked up some 19 guage wire form Wal-Mart and wrapped it around an old nail to make hook hangers. Wrap the wire around the nial, etc. counterclockwise that way when you go to screw it into the hole you drilled then epoxied it does not come unwrapped. Allen
  21. Is that a weedless mold? I have a couple of test colors from fishingskirts.com along with at least one of every skirt tab they make and I still ask him to make custom colors for me. One weekend you need to come up to Hagerstown and I can show you my lure/luremaking dungeon (aka basement). I have the 2 piece silicone mold making down and you should see some of the urethane resin crankbaits I can produce . The bad part is I suck with the digital camera so I do not take or post a lot of pics. Allen
  22. I believe it is just a generic name like Kleenex for tissues? I still think it could be circuit board though but it isn't a circuit board. With all the nano surface mouny technology how many semiconductors do you think we could get on one? Allen
  23. Trying to come up with a good sunfish pattern silicone skirt pattern is hard huh? I have at least 20 differeent versions and only a couple look right to me. For some reason I can never get the green back with parts of blue like I want it? The baits you have are looking good! How heavy are the football jigs? Allen
  24. Drop shot with a 3" power worm has worked for my on 2 outings so far this year. Allen
  25. Rapala shad rap RS Allen
