  1. Falcon spinnerbait box is the best thing I have ever used but I have mine crammed full of baits. Allen
  2. I do not think that bait will run correctly? If I can find my spinnerbait hooks I will make one just to see if it works? Allen
  3. You can bend your own with a pair of roundnose pliers. Allen
  4. 5/16oz Eakins jig or check with some of the board members as they make their own. Allen
  5. Me too. Allen
  6. Every year I tell myself I am going to fish one of those nights and never do. Maybe I can make the July one this year? Allen
  7. Nice looking rods! Allen

    Senkos

Kinami flash are the same as Yamamoto senkos. The reason they are cheaper is they only have 7 baits in the bag instead of 10 in the Yamamoto package. BTW: I sent you a link for the cheapest place I know of for senkos. Allen
  9. It is all I use on my spinning rods and while I agree it is a little stiff so are all the other floros I have used. Allen
  10. Like others I use Big Game in 12 or 15lb 95% of the time. As far as rods look at the Falcon spinnerbait series as that is what I use and like it. Allen
  11. Wrapping solder should work as well? I have used it on crankbait hooks to make them slow floaters. Allen
  12. What is the difference between the Hickey and Mutt crankbaits? Allen
  13. That place is either feast or famine! I fish there several times a year. Allen
  14. While visiting there I fished Trap Pond and the 2 best lures were a chart. colored Mann's baby 1- and a Zoom toad. What I found was the pond had a lot of grass and stained water. Allen
  15. Colors that work are black and black! Buzzbaits, jitterbugs and black spinnerbaits with a large colorado work best for me. Allen
  16. Gunnish 95 Hasu G-Splash 65 Baitfish silver Sammy 100 Black or anything with a white belly These are what I catch 90% of my fish on. That gunnish is a fish catching machine in the river! Allen
  17. I have made my own in the past pouring 3/8oz hiddenweight spinnerbait heads on 1/4 or 1/8oz frames. Use small willows like 2-3 and a 3.5 rear blade with fine silicone skirts in natural colors. Allen
  18. I am in Huntsville for a couple weeks working and would like to hire a guide or pay a fellow fisherman all expenses to go fishing here. I have zero gear but I guess I could buy some if necessary? Anyone that can help me out. Allen
  19. Clear= natural colors, brown, green, etc. Muddy= Black and black And for trailers I use solid black or green pumkin 90% of the time. The thing that gets me is everyone says black and blue! Well that is about the worst color for me in a jig? Of all the color combinations black and blue just slightly edges out hot pink with a chart trailer (how about that for a combination ) Allen
  20. All the ponds I have ever fished like that a senko and Zoom toad worked better than anything else. Allen

    Pro-Tec Tips?

Too much paint would be my guess? I use to have this problem until I bought a fluid bed. Allen
  22. I agree! My foiled baits look like I finger painted them? :-[ Guess what though? They are still in my tackle box as we care a lot more than the fish. Allen
  23. I add pauses about every 2' but I let the mood of the fish decide. These work better for me when the fish are more aggressive as opposed to a popper. The Gunfish 95 is by far my best walking bait as it is a cross between a popper and spook which really works in a river with current. Allen
  24. While I have not used that exact hook I have used several of there jig hooks. They are sharp but the quality control is lacking! I understand a bad batch now and again but all sizes and styles I bought had issues. Most of the problems I had were the bends were so far off they would not fit into the mold but there were also a lot of twisted eyes. Allen
  25. I am the biggest LC fan put the Live Pointer is the worst jerkbait I can remember buying! On the upside it works great as a wake bait! A slow steady retrieve works great for SM. If you try working it like a regular jerkbait it just has retarded spasms and will not even attempt to set level. Allen
