    New cranks

By null at 2010-09-13 My favorite so far as I finally got the dye to work right in the resin. By null at 2010-09-13 Had trouble cutting the lip slot on this one but I usually don't use these types of bills. By null at 2010-09-13 This one I need to figure out where to put the line tie (bill is not glued in yet). Allen
  3. The spinnerbaits are nice but they only come in single blade. I picked up some on clearance for $2 each and use them in places I know I am going to lose them. Allen
  4. I use to just keep buying which is why I have way too much stuff. In the past couple months I have been slowly going through it all. Now I have 66 quart tubs of baits I need to get rid of. Allen
  5. How do you plan on changing them into chatterbaits? I tried cutting the frame just above the head and bending it once and it lasted one fish. Allen
  6. I have to agree on the KVD spinnerbait videos, buy both when BPS puts them on sale. These will save you 2 years TOW trying to learn on your own. Allen
  7. Browsing ebay I found RI vixens for $49 and was shocked. I here about the original wiggle warts selling for about the same and it has me wandering about lure values. In my stash I has some original in the package of both of these along with other discontinued baits. Anyone know the going rate for some of these or whatever baits I sure be looking for? Some of the baits I know I have that seem to be in demand: RI BLV WW in the blue label box TD Dartist Small size risto raps Megabass Visions in deadly black LC Pointer 78sr Just trying to see what the market is as I have way too much stuff just taking up room in my basement. And if you say you can never have enough tackle just ask Speedbead about my lure hoarding. Allen
  8. Nashua speckled trout. I need one about that size for an experiment. Allen

    Jigs

Not sure where you are fishing but if you are hitting the local resevoirs like Black Hills Lake Seneca a T-rigged creature bait will work better. Summertime grass will foul the jig more than say a baby brush hogs and in my experience creature baits work better in the summer. With all that said it is about to be spinnerbait time! No brand infomercials just get a whitish/shad colored bait with double silver willow blades. Allen
  10. Best jig trailer for the past 2 years and I only use GP or blk/red. Allen
  11. What color was the footloose? I should have a couple older ones with the Mustad triple grips. Allen
  12. I actually have that Ultra minnow mold and planned on doing the modification to make these. I also have the seahorse mold that is just a bigger version of the Blakemore roadrunner. Since I have never caught anything on the seahorse ones I made I never modified the Ultra minnow mold. Allen
  13. Sebile Magic Swimmer > this thing looks so good in the water but I haven't even had a follower in 2 years. Like others said this year has been slow and only finesse baits have worked this summer. Allen
  14. This was what I was going to recommend as mono is easier to pick out and a lot cheaper when you do have to cut it. Other options are only filling the spool 1/2-3/4 full which will lose some distance but decrease the number of backlashes. Second option would be make a good long cast with whatever bait casts the best and then put a small piece of electrical tape over the rest of the line on the spool. While this will not prevent backlashes it does a lot of damage control. All of us baitcasting experts on here do not get backlashes we have "professional overuns". Allen
  15. Greenbrier has been horrible all year! You catch a lot of 10" dinks but the biggest bass I have caught in 4 trips this year was 13". Allen
  16. Send a message to basser89 as he can best answer this. Personally I would not want to be out on the UP with that boat. If you want to know of a good place in the area to fish with that boat send me a PM just don't post about it on the open forum. This spot is really good for small boats and has some nice bass and crappie but not alot of parking. Allen
  17. Texas has it right with there laws! It sucks that the laws in most places victimize you as much as criminals. Joe Horn made his area safer and I am willing to bet burglaries are down after the shooting. Allen
  18. Seagulls have grabbed minnow baits in flight but the worst one was an owl that picked up my jitterbug while nightfishing in a pond. Allen
  19. Peral white Zoom swimming fluke or a RI skinny dipper. Allen
  20. fishingskirts.com They have the biggest color selection of skirt colors. Allen
  21. 4" Senkos work better for me than the 5" ones. Colors: Natural Shad, Watermelon black flake, Green Pumkin and if the water is really stained Junebug. These can all be bought at Walmart in a blue package labeled Kinami Flash. For a cheaper alternative get some Yum dingers which should be at Walmart as well. Allen
  22. I fish all over the state and can tell you to get some Kinami Flash 4" senkos in Natural shad and watermelon. Texas rig these on a 2/0 EWG worm hook and you will catch fish. Also pick up a bag of Zoom green pumkin finesse worms to use on those 1/8oz shakey heads. With these 2 lures you will catch fish anywhere in the state. There are a lot of other baits I use that really work but these 2 are very easy for a beginner to use. Now for Black Hills Lake Seneca= It is deep clear and has a lot of grass. Fish the senkos in the parts of the lake near the shore that are covered by tree shade they are always there in the summer. If there are trees laying in the water that is deep use the shakey head worm. If you have any specific questions or want to know of some spots send me a PM. Allen
  23. x2 I still remember watching them in the 80's on Bassmaster. And the person who I would most likely try to drown is Charlie Moore. Allen
  24. Any soft plastic will work as a trailer as I have used just about everything. If you want a bulky presentation try using a Zoom horny toad. Allen
  25. Green pumkin/Watermelon mix, light/dark brown mix most of the time but I have found that solid black works in any water clarity or temperature. Allen
