  1. http://fishingskirts.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=69 Punch skirt hubs. Allen
  2. If you are fishing it where the bait will contact grass or brush tail up. All other times tail down seems to have a better swimming action especially on the fall. Allen
  3. Sebile magic swimmer and it isn't for a lack of trying. It is funny to me how some are mentioning jigs? I never go fishing without them because when fishing is tough they still produce. Allen
  4. http://www.johnnyspond.com/bagley-belly-button-minnow-head-jigs.html Something like this is what I was thinking with the wire option? The problem I see so far is so much of the lead is forward of the hook eye for the Ultra minnow. Allen
  5. Bringing this back up because I will have some free time soon and plan on going forward with the project. Since a machinest friend is currently laid off and offered to help it shouldn't be hard to modify the mold. Now for the questions= What weight and hook size does eveyone like? The 3/8oz lists 3/0 but most Do-It molds will take 1 size larger hooks. The swimming hornet uses a crane swivel molded into the head but I was thinking of trying a looped wire end? I guess I will wait and see what Don says as I have the horsehead mold swivel cavity as a reference. Overall the most expensive component of this bait is the ball bearing swivel but these things can only cost about $1.25 to make. Allen
  6. Do you have any problem using two of the same size blades? Allen

    Fluid Beds

That is where I bought mine but this thing looks very easy to make. The only thing I do not know where to get is the material for the cup bottom that is porus. Allen
  9. I liked it but I must be missing something, I don't understand is a snookie? Allen
  10. Why of course it was these guys When I clicked on the link there was a video of Martin O'Malley who has run this state into the ground so I never made it to the video. Nickelback sucks the most out of that list. Allen
  11. Waiting for the jerkbait bite to turn on to try mine out. While I am the biggest LC fan I just never like the rattles in the 100sp pointer. The silent 95 has its work cut out for it to unseat the 78sp or slender 97mr as top dog. Allen
  12. The same 3" Berkley DS worms you are using. They are discontinued so I constantly look for them on ebay. Allen
  13. While I cannot comment on the actual game what the commercial shows is very accurate. Having served in SOCOM that 3 man entry they show is perfect. Allen
  14. A little late but when I fished there a couple weeks ago it was very tough. In two days I caught 2 bass and 10 pickerral (I hate those slime rockets) on flukes and senkos. The only advice I can give is they did not want GP or watermelon but shad colored baits. Allen
  15. When the river is high and muddy the bass like to stick very close to the bank or in eddies. They do not like to swim against all that current and waist energy. For me this is the easiest time to catch them as they aren't very hard to find. Black jigs and chart crankbaits work best but other lures will work. Allen
  16. Check with the ROTC program to see what they offer. Make sure you know the commitment before agreeing to anything. ROTC commissions active duty and reserve officers so be aware of which one you agree to. Besides straight ROTC the National Guard has something called Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP). SMP is where you enlist in the Guard and participate one weekend a month for drill. The deal is you are a officer in training and even though you are a part of the unit you cannot deploy because of ROTC. Most of the officers commissioned for the Guard have this type of ROTC scholarship. Allen
  17. 1/8oz 2/0 hook In my experimenting this combination works best. Allen

    Swim jigs

By null at 2010-09-24 By null at 2010-09-24 By null at 2010-09-24 Made these for some fall fishing. Allen
  20. I found 1 laying downstairs on the table I can take a pic of. The hair jigs I use are really small compared to what most people use. I sent you a PM about where to buy jigs in bulk. Allen
  21. I just started tying them last year for winter SM. Most of the baits I find on the market are not what I want so like most of my baits I will make them myself. Let me see if I can find my most recent ones and I will post a pic (they are not as good as yours). Where do you get your supplies from? I am looking for some grey hair like the second jig and cannot find it. Allen

    New cranks

Well I tested out the orange one yesterday and it is a very slow sinker in 70 degree water. It will suspend for about 5 seconds before it starts to sink so this should work well for cold water. I was trying for a slow floater but this resin is more tricky to weight than wood. Allen

  24. They sell them al Wal-Mart. Allen
  25. Fishing has been a lot better lately in all the areas I fish. Sunday I will be hitting Rocky Gap and hopefully the fall bite is on. Allen
