  1. Basement is full so the overflow has been going to the garage or dining room. Allen
  2. Like I posted earlier admitting there is a problem is the first step. Personally I have loved bass fishing since I was about 12? I use to watch Bassmasters with Bob Cobb as a youth and dream about catching the big ones like I saw on TV. As an adult I still remember those shows and what worked back then that I could not find or afford to buy. Now I have a 6 figure income so I can buy whatever the hell I want but still remember the nostalgia of the late 80's early 90's baits.ad as My weakness for about 5 year was jerkbaits and it didn't matter what they cost as long they looked good I bought 5 of them. Now I have matured as an angler and realize that I don't need to carry $2000 worth of baits that weigh 300lbs I catch more fish. With a family I now and me being back in graduate school I do not have the time I once had to fish. So with that said I am still looking for baits that I had as a teenager that I would like to have again. I will post a WTB in the classifieds and if anyone has any of these lures I will pay top dollar or trade for them. Allen
  3. Let me state that the first step is recognizing that there is a problem! I have been slowly culling tackle into bins to get rid of over the winter. That being said I have 66quart tubs from Wal-Mart sitting on a wooden pallet in my basement full of lures. There is no way I will ever use 20% of this stuff so it will be sold over this winter. Terminal tackle, line, and maybe some flick shake worms is all I plan on buying in the next 12 months. Allen
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmdMFGwK8KE Watch this as it should answer most questions. Allen
  5. Not to be a D**k but I bet unless you are fishing for walleye those colors mean more to you than the fish? I have tried so many color combinations to realize that color is more important to the bass angler than the bass. Allen
  6. I have a d0-it mold for the straight eye hooks in the lighter weights but will try those BPS weights. Allen
  7. Since you have a kayak I would try Little Pool up by Hancock. The only way to fish it is by a boat you can carry in so it does not receive as much pressure. There are a lot of pickerel in there so be careful if using any expensive lures. Allen
  8. I swear every fish I catch on them jumps and I lose the worm in the process. Yamamoto baits are more durable because they are thicker while these are thin. Now I have to qualify my statement by saying I only use the 4.8" flick shake worm. Allen
  9. They are the most fragile soft plastic made from my experience. That said they really work when fished on the right jighead. The BPS worms are more durable and work just not as well on a tough bite. Allen
  10. That might work for the Kemps Mill dam but Dam #5 you will need more than a helmet. Allen
  11. Learn where the dams are before you go out on any floats. Allen
  12. If something really works I stock up. Allen
  13. Check with the guy that just posted the 9k lbs on a trailer. Allen
  14. Paper clips work and I can cure the bullet weights by hanging them. Allen
  15. I have at least 8 different spinnerbait boxes that all work depending on how many baits I plan on carrying. Wal-Mart sells a small one that holds a few (6-9) baits that I use when wading or have to carry minimal tackle. Remember the Maryland rule for spinnerbaits: any color works as long as it is white. Allen
  16. You can powder paint them but it is hard to paint them without painting the hole shut. Normally I just rattle can them with black or OD primary and call it good enough. The spray paint doesn't hold up as well but if I am using them instead of tungsten it means I plan on losing a lot of them. Allen
  17. Yes
  18. Depending on how thick you make the skirt will determine the fall rate. Allen
  19. Have you thought about trying the worm insert rattles and putting them in the trailer? Allen
  20. I have one of those Bayou Boogie lipless baits, wonder if it worth anything? Allen
  21. Launched out of Slavins and most of the guys stayed in Mattawoman but I tried the main river. The past several years low tide has been horrible in the creeks so I tried the main river which hurt me. The gut that won stayed in the creek and caught all his fish in like the first hour. Allen
  22. You did better than my trip to the Lower Potomac as I only caught one fish. Allen
  23. What are you doing that a .060 hook isn't strong enough? If you are catching bass that are that big then when are you inviting me up for a fishing trip. Allen
  24. Basser89 only fishes like twice a year now and there are no fish to be found within 50 miles of Hagerstown. Allen
  25. I bought two of them to try this year because of all the clear water in the summer. This year the water has been at least stained every time I fished from rain. Maybe this fall I will get a chance to actually use them? Allen
