  1. Columbia coatings is where I bought mine. They run sales and I bought a pound of matte black for like $15 shipped. Allen
  2. Won my first Non-US fishing tournament last week. Fished an open the hotel we were staying at had in Jamaica. Caught 23 "Jamaican black bass" (What the guy from the hotel called them, they looked like dark colored goggle-eyes to me) in 30 minutes for the win. Allen
  3. Uncle Josh pork trailers or something like a Zoom small chunk. Allen
  4. Finding alternative hooks that fit is a pain some times. I bought one of those steelhead collarless Do-It molds to make flick shake heads with but cannot find any hooks. All the hooks I try the eye is too tall and the stock hooks are too heavy for light line. Allen
  5. Don't come fish the Upper Potomac then! Between pre-fishing and tournaments the past two years I have calculated it take 6.2 hours to catch a keeper (12") bass. I caught a 15" SM the last tournament and won 1st and lunker beating out the 12 1/8" that took 2nd, no other fish were caught. Allen
  6. I guess it is a Kansas thing I don't understand? Do you guys paint each others nails the same colors? Allen
  7. The closest I have came to fishing was cleaning the leaves out of my boat cover. I have had something to do every weekend day for the last 3 weeks. The next weekend I will have free maybe mid- December? Allen
  8. Pink and purple? Please submit your mancard for a 30 day suspension immediately. Allen
  9. This is what I would recommend to start. I pour outside in a garage and have a $15 toaster oven I bought at Ollies just for powder paint. Allen
  10. My record is 27 jigs lost in a single day which almost made a dent in what I carry. Allen
  11. http://www.*.com/Pradco-Bill-Dance-Lure-Retriever-p/bill-dance-lure-retriever.htm This is the one I use and have lost maybe 3 hardbaits in 5 years? I throw LC and Megabass baits into brush piles so this thing paid for itself day one. Allen
  12. Suspending jerkbait if the water is clear and a swim jig are my two recommendations. Allen
  13. Bill Dance lure retriever works well at getting baits back. Allen
  14. I find that when the grass starts to die they will move out to the next available cover. Allen
  15. Was looking on Google maps for something else and found 2 lakes in MD that I have never heard of, Lake Needwood and Lake Bernard Frank. Anyone fish these that could post some info? Allen

  17. Looks just like the Matzuo hook? http://www.captainhookswarehouse.com/index.cfm?page=detail&hookid=639&view=1 Allen
  18. Bill Dance lure retriever would have saved it! I have only lost two cranks in like 5 years thanks to Bill. One of the baits wouldn't tune right so I didn't even bother trying to get it back. BTW; If you are missing a DT Rapala from Blairs Valley I have it. Allen
  19. There way a quote from Rick Clunn "catching fish is easy but finding them is hard" and it has helped me. Additional things that I have found helpful: Time on water Casting accuracy Soft landings of lures Limiting color selection Allen
  20. The one that is working that day. Allen

Hair jig in sub 38 degree water than no, all other times yes. Allen
  22. Do you even fish anymore? I think Nate is the only one still fishing this year. Yesterday I took my daughter to Blairs Valley and she caught 2 rainbow trout and a bunch of sunfish. I tried both a bluegill and whiteish colored swim jigs which caught nothing. Allen
  23. My old boss once told me that a college degree just shows that you can complete a long term project. With that said I do a lot of job interviews and to make it through HR they want to see a degree. As for fishing contact the fishing coach at the schools that interest you. Remember a school is a business that sells a service so they will help you with any problems. Allen

  25. I am surprised a 99 boat costs $20k? They just sold a 2000 19 or 20' Ranger with a 175 EFI at the local marine dealer that was in great shape for $9500. Allen
