  1. Twelve to fifteen feet Is about the deepest I can catch them on a crankbait.
  2. Original RC 1.5 LC in Copper Perch is the number one producing crankbait I own. I have these in just about every color including one I had custom painted in gizzard shad that needs repainted.
  3. Strike King S11 glasses are great for the money. Allen
  4. That is it! Only came in two sizes 6/20 and like 14/30 rated like braid today. Allen
  5. I remember using some oval shaped mono but cannot remember the name? That and the 6' Zebco Rhino Rod that was "indestructible from tip to butt" Broke 4 in one summer. Allen
  6. Worms for grass and creature baits for wood has been my experience. That and they seem to prefer the creature. bait better spring /fall and worms in the summer. Allen
  7. I have not made any swim baits out of resin but I have made crankbaits. Alumilite resin is what I use which is very strong and picks up every detail from the mold. Alumilite is not very buoyant itself so to make it float you have to add microballons with it. I will have to find the mold and baits I made to post a pic. Allen
  8. I was wondering what everyone's preference was for swim jigs. What is the weight size used most often and do you prefer a regular or thick hook? Mine vary in weight from 1/8 to 1/2oz but 3/8 is what I use most often because of the buoyancy of the paddle tail trailers. As for hooks the Mustad 32724 5/0 is what has worked the best. This setup works great for my MH 12lb Floro rod outfit that I use. Allen
  9. http://www.barlowstackle.com/Do-It-Hidden-Eye-Brush-Weedless-Jig-Molds-P263.aspx Barlows Tackle usually lists the other hooks that will fit in a mold. Allen
  10. Christmas tree bulb hangers from the Dollar store work best for this. Allen
  11. That looks like the 38109 Mustad hook and it will fit in a Do-It mold like others have said. I have made some in the past but didn't like the short amount of space between the hook point and screw lock. Allen
  12. Flick Shake hands down but the BPS version works almost as well and are a lot cheaper. Allen
  13. They all work but the Zoom Swamp Crawler is what I have been using lately. Allen
  14. My basement. Allen
  15. Thanks for the detailed tutorial, I have been wondering about using JB weld for awhile. Do you know the wire diameter on those inserts? They maybe what I am looking for in my next chatterbait project. Allen
  16. Not a fan of them myself but some people swear by them. For $1 you should give them a try and see what you think. Allen
  17. The Mann's Baby 1- works best for me overall and makes my top 10 crankbait list. Besides the Bandit Footloose the two shallow baits I have had luck with are the Team Daiwa Scouter Crank and the Jackall Zero Footer. Allen
  18. Working on duplicating the original Chatterbaits.
  19. Cadman has the best advice on this topic. All of my Lee pots have clogged and recently I have just given up and started using a ladle. Allen
  20. Living rubber is a PITA and melts in your tackle boxes but some people are in love with it. Personally I use Starflash skirts in place of round rubber. Allen
  21. I am better at bait making than I am photography. Allen
  22. Original Rat-L_Trap and Red Eyed Shad work better for me than any of the high-end lipless baits. Allen
  23. Some of my recent baits I have been working on. Allen
