You can make a 2 piece mold out of silicone to pour baits. Make sure to get the type that has a high temperature rating though. I plan on making one this winter as a prototype before investing $500 on custom molds. Allen

I have been using this hook for several years with 3.8 fatimpact Keitechs and have no problems except small fish biting the tails off. Head design l am still not sure about? Currently I use the Do It grass jig which is what most others use. I watched a video by Bill Lowan and his opinion is a keeled head is better since it doesn't roll. I fish swim jigs in grass or open water on 12lb line so I guess I will give them a try. . Allen

This is a medium wire 5/0 Mustad hook that works better around here. The thicker Mustad 32886 requires heavier equipment and I have lost several nice fish from it. As for the keeper I went back and forth but decided on this one because the wire one tore the trailers up too much. Allen

I have used a skirt collar put on after the trailer to keep it in place. Allen

The weedless grass jig mold that smalljaw suggested is what I have been using for swim jigs. Allen

You should be able to recreate it with skirt material from fishingskirts.com or skirts plus. Between those two the make like 90 percent of the skirt colors. Allen

Crappie boats that gdt 2' from you because it's their brush pile. Favorite has to be the trout fishermen who do not know what a boat ramp is for? I tried this as well and my 1/4oz shakeyhead cavity produced a nice 1/16oz head. The mixture is just too thick to pour to achieve a greater density. Now I was able to mix GP soft plastic colorant which turned them the color of Keitech heads. From what the company said where I bought the powder most tungsten is mined in China. That along with their lack of regulation is why China has market share. Allen

They are more sensitive so until you get used to them there will be a lot of false hook sets. Honestly for most everyday fishing scenarios I cannot justify using tungsten. Cost based on the amount of lures I lose I just can't see the benefit. Allen
