  1. I am sure it will work just like a lot of other baits. Lately my chatterbait trailer is a Owner JR minnow which is similar to what you are talking about. Allen
  2. We seem to discuss most of the popular JDM baits on here but what are you throwing that others may not have heard of? For me I have a few that work well but I never here about. Jackal Zero Footer= Shallow diving crank like a Mann's baby 1- Jackal Bonnie 95 = Walking bait like a Sammy but it is a lot more subtle Evergreen Wild Hunch = Crankbait that runs about 8 feet deep that just seems to work well on riversmallies Team Daiwa 1091sp minnow = This should be the most well known of the group and it is the best jerkbait I have when fishing them aggressively Allen
  3. Years ago I had been wrecking fish on 6" Zoom lizards so I stocked up. One day I picked up my BPS bag and the strap broke. When I got home I had over 30 plus bags of 6" Zoom lizards along with everything else I was carrying. Now I limit myself to 5 colors per type of bait and one wildcard. This has cut me tackle I carry by half and has improved my fishing. Now I concentrate more on finding the fish versus which color I should use. Allen

    New jighead

I have some of the bullethead Decoy and the hooks are very small. They do work great on 3" Kuttail worms and 4lb line for really clear water. Allen

    New jighead

Here are the Owner and Jobee style heads I have been using. I still need to get a pic of the Owner jigheads that are like the Slider ones. Allen
  6. Be careful as fishing a grass jig in wood could cause the Earth to spin off its axis and into the sun. Allen

    New jighead

The two I have been using for years are the Jobee (which I have a custom mold for) and the Owner heads. I will get some pics and post later. Allen
  8. Mattlures makes a small perch swimbait. Allen
  9. They break down but it takes time and usually the baits swell up. Let me see if I can find the pic of the Zoom lizard I found that is like 2' that I found in the Potomac. Allen
  10. Agreed but you can catch them fishing downstream as well. If SM are in the area cast a 3.5" tube or creature bait and work it like a crayfish would be trying to swim with the current. Flukes are the same way just a different prey so just think of how the bait would be trying to swim through the current. Fish would wear themselves out swimming against the current 24/7 so the position themselves behing anything that breaks the current and ambush prey that comes by. Allen
  11. I can't believe Green Pumkin made this list. I have caught fish in every water clarity in the following states with it: Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Georgia, South Carolina, Washington, Washington DC, and Missouri using it. The only place I have encountered where green pumkin did not work was in the engineering pond on Ft. Leonard Wood. Allen

    New jighead

I bought some hooks off Facebook but so far I have not found a mold they will work in. Looking at creating my own mold since they only cost $0.05 each. Allen

They cost about $0.20 each to make instead of $1-1.25 for a Brewer head. Allen

screenshot software for windows Swim Jighead on a Owner cutting point hook. Allen upload pictures online Best overall jighead I make for pitchin/flippin Allen
  15. They look great! What are you using for resin Alumilite or something else? Allen
  16. Black and blue for some reason? Solid black works great, so does black/any other color but not blue. Same thing for blue back Rapalas never work. Allen
  17. New jighead I started making to use on slider rigs, what does everyone think. Allen
  18. I bought so many of those Poe's baits after Clunn won the Classic using them. Only caught a few fish on them but they will always be in my tackle box. Allen
  19. Check with SiebertOutdoors on here as he probably has them. Allen
  20. Caught 3 one spring; 24, 26, and 27 inches on a white spinnerbait. Couldn't keep any because no fish over 20 inches during what I guess is the spawn. Allen
  21. Agreed, if I start catching these it is time to move to another spot. If anyone wants to cull out some hit Deep Creek Lake in Maryland as they are way overpopulated. Allen
  22. I want to try some myself I just need to find someone that can pour them. Gama 744 2/0 hook on a 3/16 and 1/4oz heads. Allen
  23. Around here you setup your 4 lawn chairs next to the sign that states "No fishing from the boat ramp or dock". Next when anyone actually wants to use the ramp for loading or unloading a boat cast a bunch of lines with bobbers around. The bobbers prevent people from actually using the ramp for what it was built for. If someone says anything either pretend like you do not understand English or just state that you were there first and will not move. All this is based on my experience with the boat ramps in our area. Allen
  24. Free guided trip, free lures, and free snacks I want to be your new fishing buddy. I had a guy in my old club that fished as a co-angler that would use my baits. I would ask him what is the secret bait to which he would respond "they are in your tackle bag". If I got on a pattern I would give him whatever I had that was working. He would just ask what it was and what it cost. At the end of the day he would give me cash to compensate for anything that was lost. Allen
  25. Agreed as those lures work the same but they will prefer one over the other. Allen
