  1. Alberto knot for me. FG not kept giving me issues.
  2. Was finally able to go out and try out my new x-bite the last week. I rigged up both my PA and x-bites with 3/8 jigs, same reel and line. Obviously subjective, but the xbite was a little more sensitive imo. I could just feel the bottom much better with the x-bite.
  3. I pulled the trigger on the Xbite today. Even though it's extra fast, I saw a xbite video review on youtube by punchfishing. It has a really soft tip and I couldn't resist. I currently use my 7'3" MH posion adrena has my texas rig/jig rod, so I'm exicted to compare the sensitivity. Apparently the xbite has NRX sensitivity.
  4. Yeah it seems like all the reviews I found were on the old Max models. I just might play it safe and grab a Dobyn champion XP crank rod, while they are still on sale.
  5. Has anyone used these rods for cranking? The models I'm looking at are the 702B and 703B. I really can't find any reviews for these rods online, so was just wondering if anyone has any info.
  6. A lot of good advice.. I think I'm going to try the Sufix Siege 12# mono first until I get use to the baitcaster reel. Then I'll switch to braid.
  7. I order my first baitcaster set up, got a Tatula 6' 10" MH/F paired with a Diawa Tatula CT. Now I just need a recommendation for what line to put on this set up. I will be using this rod for Texas rigs, spinnerbaits, and jigs. Was pondering on using 30# power pro braid, but I have read it's prone to more backlash and bird nest. Might go with Mono, but idk.. What at do you guys recommend?
  8. Looks like I'm going to get the Tatula then. Thanks for the great feedback!
  9. Going to buy my first baitcaster setup. All my previous fishing experience has been soley spinning reels. The reel I'm going to order is Diawa Tatula CT, since I heard nothing but great reviews on this reel. Now I'm looking for a MH/F rod around 100-120 dollars. My eyes are on the Tatula XT, but I am also considering the Fenwick HMG and the Falcon Bucoo. Can anyone give me any insight on these rods?
