  1. Wonder what retail will be. Looks sick from the video, but that's to be expected.
  2. Try HELLABASS or Punch Fishing
  3. Tatula 7’3 H swimbait rod. It’s rated to 4oz and I think it would fit the bill for what you’re doing.
  4. Thanks gents!
  5. What size ? Medium Light?
  6. That is a very good point. Let me know what you find.
  7. Is there any reason to use a medium over a medium light?
  8. This is mostly for guys who are fishing smallmouth, I’m really dialing in chasing smallies and this is one technique I know nothing about. Rods and baits is where I’m not really sure. Thoughts or suggestions? Does this work on rivers as it does on lakes? Recommendations?
  9. Diablo Spec-R EMTF Braillist Madbull Deamos Javelin
  10. Daiwa Steez Utility Player 7’3 MH/F Great condition rod, no damage to the guides or blank. $325 Alpha Angler Zilla 2.0 Brand New, no use and still in plastic. SOLS
  11. Good condition Dobyns 765 Flip Bought in the middle of last summer, more rod then needed. Good flipping rod, handles 1oz weights fine. $175
  12. Remembrance. Couldn’t imagine that day or living through it.
  13. I’d look at the dragoon for the triza rods, that is a f7 with two tips and lots of power and options. Covers lots of techniques.
  14. New price: $265 tyd
  15. Steez A would be my recommendation. A Steez CT on a XH, seems a little off, the Met DC would be a good option.
  16. Bought this year-Orochi XX EMTF, was mainly used for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits even though more of a treble bait rod. Cork is sealed, well maintained. $300 tyd
  17. Either my 7’M/mod fast Powell or my Steez 6’9 Med/F with 20-30lb braid and a short leader or quality snap.
  18. Do what I did, start with the basic baits you love then go from there. For me, it was: Jigs, spinnerbait, chatterbait, swim jig, frog, drop shot/ned, shaky head/tube. Basically what needs to happen is highlight these baits and techniques then build an arsenal for those techniques. I'd recommend spending money on the stuff you love to throw. I went mostly high end in gear, simply because I had the budget to afford it and I do not recommend doing that. Stay within your budget or the price point you have set for yourself. I've spent way to much money on gear only to sell it off before truly understanding what it was capable of and how to utilize the rod/reel to it's potential.
  19. This rod is uniquely versatile, one of the main reasons why I've kept the rod in my arsenal as well the rod has plenty of backbone. It's unique in the sense of being a regular action rod that handles big baits well and by well I mean within it's range, I would feel very comfortable tossing 4oz plugs on this rod. Gary has a wealth of knowledge regarding Megabass rods and should not be ignored. Yes, it would work well for that. If you're looking for a cheaper model take a look at the World Valkyrie travel rods from Megabass, The Tackle Trap has them along with The Hook-Up Tackle. A bit longer, but save you some cash unless you're not afraid of buying a used rod.
  20. I owned a Black Elseil II for a very short time, I think it would of been better suited for jerkbaits and small cranks. No experience with the Oneten. The P5 Super Destroyer is a good all-around rod from MegaBass, jigs, Texas-rigs, buzzbaits/buzz toads, smaller frogs. I plan on fishing mine a lot more this summer. Could you link the rod you’re talking about? I don’t have much experience past the P5s for MegaBass, but if you’re looking to sample go higher is my suggestion. Listen to what others are telling ya.
  21. Megabass Triza 6'8 Medium/Mod Fast 7-12lb line Orochi XX Whipsnake 6'11 ML/Fast 10lb-10another sitelouro
  22. Hmm-I don't know what to tell ya. I feel like there are better rods suited for what you're looking to do and that rod would be overkill. Maybe save and go for an Arms. They are a full custom rod from Megabass but not cheap at all. Not even close.
  23. I don't punch, but 1oz would be fine with it. Not sure it would be my go to rod, but it can handle the short use.
