  1. The entire Rage line-up have a place in my tackle box. A few options for the Rage Menace you may consider: great on a jig alone or as a trailer swam sideways alone or on a swim jig replaces a fluke on a split shot rig on a shakey head ..... as you know carolina rig texas rig The options are endless for this bait ..... it is a keeper.
  2. Was the engine height and/or prop pitch been addressed as per the suggestions above?
  3. Stealing this one ..... thanks.
  4. Yes. For example ..... assuming fish are present. bass can and will show a preference to a skirted jig and creature vs. a t-rigged worm and vice-versa both being fished in the same manner and as bottom contact baits they may not like either option above Thus, multiple options is a good thing at times.
  5. My brother fell short for the Lunker Smallmouth this weekend by .02 lbs. 4.77 lbs vs. 4.79 lbs
  6. Great fish .... well done!
  7. I have a waterproof box (for crank baits) that I fill and take with me on the boat. I try to keep them in their original package so it easy to see what needs re-filling. I keep the replacements at home.
  8. Well done Nolan ..... what an effort. You are a talent young man. This is just the beginning of something special. Thank you for letting us be a part of a great day fishing.
  9. Had to go look at my football jig inventory .... not sure why!
  10. Canada is watching ..... Go Nolan Go!
  11. Just like fine wine ..... PS: You can wear out the lower priced spinning reels if you fish a lot.
  12. All the best. .... Be safe.
  13. Top, sub-surface or bottom .... makes no difference to me. Two on a jig is better than one on a whopper plopper in my book and vice-versa.
  14. A coating of dish soap will decrease fogging as well. Hockey visor trick.
  15. Just make sure you are out there as the front approaches. As @J Francho stated, no need to change things up dramatically, but make sure you check the shallow bite as they get more confidence to leave their holding area or structure as the cloud cover (front) moves in. That shallow bite may be different fish altogether and those good smallies you are catching might even get better. Good luck and keep us posted.
  16. Thanks for the feedback everyone .... appreciated. I am using the 10" Anaconda in my Largemouth Fishing but not a primary bait for Smallmouth. For smallies however, that 7" one will catch 'em when nothing else will .....
  17. Smallies with a one track mind can be difficult to catch at times. I would try to match the size (length) of the bait fish in question. Possible Lures? Top Water Popper Injured Fish on the Surface Fluke ..... Weightless Injured Fish Sub-Surface Ned TRD Just Because the Darn Thing Catches Smallmouth In-Line Spinner ..... #3 Silver Blue Fox Vibrax Real quick through the commotion A few choices for your consideration.
  18. Strike King for me!
  19. 7" Rage Tail Anaconda in Green Pumpkin In the dreaded hot, humid, blue sky days of summer, the specific bait mentioned has but some quality fish in my boat. Fished on a T-Rig or C-Rig from 8ft - 20ft of water. Even the little guys will fully ingest this bait. Just thought I would share my experience. Anyone fishing this bait as a Go-To for smallies?
  20. An air-injected crawler and a weight (original drop shot... ) can increase your chances of catching bass and finding "new to you" fishing spots. Great pre-fishing technique.
  21. We must run the fill pump continuous and allow the access water to run out the overflow. No recirculation of the water allowed. I assume that in my case, any additives would go out the overflow and be of no help?
  22. Acrobatic Smallmouth Recreational Fishing ..... 8 out of 10 stay hooked Tournament Fishing ..... 5 out of 10 stay hooked The Lord will Test your Faith
  23. How True, How True!
  24. 1960 .... had to take a shot.
