Hey guys, Im gonna start throwning swim jigs and chatterbaits more often and ill be throwing 3/8 oz ones pretty much all the time. Will the 3.8 fat impact keitech work well as a trailer or do I need to go with the larger sizes? Thanks! LEW

Hey guys, Quick question im looking to get a pair of polarized sunglasses and not looking to have a bunch of different lens colors because im on a low budget atm. My question is what color lens do you guys suggest that would be good all around color for most bass outings? Some people are telling me brown while others tell me grey. Thanks, LEW

Will it be ok to use a 5.4:1 ratio reel cranking the mid depths say 10-20? I just want something i can use all day without getting tired.

I run pretty much all 7:1 on my setups, I like faster reels but I have found I just cant make it work cranking the deeper crankbaits its to taxing. I dont mind having one reel in the 5:1s, I can take about 6-7 rods typically and I have everything covered with my others that it wouldnt be detremental for my one reel to be so low.

Hey guys, looking at also getting into more crankbaits this summer. I'm looking for a rod and reel combo that would prob be in the 130-180 range all said and done. I would like this rod and reel to be able to handle cranking mainly in deeper water say 12-25ft but also have a little versatility to fish shallow square bills as well as I am a co angler and cant have to many rods as is. Im thinking of going with a 12lb fluorocarbon as my line. I just dont know what rod and reel to get, I think I want a reel in the 5.4:1 ratio speed because ive tried my faster reels cranking and it took alot out of me even on a 6xd! Hi all Im looking at getting a new pitching/flipping reel that will have 20lb fluoro on it. Im looking at getting the Curado 70 XG do you guys have any opinions on this reel or should I look at a different reel for this style of presentation. Thanks!

It's not the knot it breaks mid way through the cast so I have my lure with a big strand of line fly off and it appears to break near the reel itself.

Hey guys I'm using Sunline FC sniper in 16lb test. This has happened to me twice now and my line breaks mid flight towards the end of the cast by the near the baitcaster. It's happened on two diff reels but same line now twice. What could be doing this?

Hey guys, I am fairly new to pitching and have a few questions. First is about how far should I be able to pitch? Right now im getting about 15 feet fairly accurate. Also when I make pitches after a few casts my line in the spool is loose and I need to make a long cast out and reel it in to get the lined spooled tight again, How can I aleviate this from happening? My current livewell only has a pump fresh water in feature not a circulate feature found on most boats now days. My question is how often do you supposed I should be pumping fresh water in to cool the water as well as areate? I wont be able to run it 8hrs straight during the tourney or my battery would likely die. What are you guys suggestions for keeping the fish healthy under these circumstances?

Hey guys I'm looking for long sleeve sun shirts with spf protection that are reasonably priced. I don't want to pay 40 bucks for a huk logoed shirt. What at suggestions do you guys have?

Im using a medium rod with 10lb test co poly line. The hooks are super sharp they just don't hold up. I'm just assuming I could get better ones to replace them. I did catch prob 20 bass before they started to bend out bad then I had to adjust the hooks after every fish almost.

Do the owner hooks bend out as easy as these junk stock hooks on the shadow rap?

I want to replace the trebles on my shadow raps. I'm looking at the mustard short shank triple grip. Stock are size 6 hooks. What size mustads can I get and it won't mess up my action? Im worried about hook weight compared to the stock ones I don't want the lure to sink fast if the mustads are too heavy. Shadow raps are slow sinking basically suspending. Thanks for for your help

I'm in search of two jig trailers for pitching and football jigs. I'm looking for a more subtle action trailer and the other trailer to have a lot of action. I want to keep it simple and stick to two jig trailers this year and preferably cheaper brands as I can't afford the real expensive plastics. Any suggestions welcomed! Thanks! LEW

How often do you oil the drum? Just one drop on a q-tip good enough?

Do you guys use fish attractant sprays, gels, dipping dyes? Do you think they are worth the money to get them? What ones do you recommend? Im trying to decide if I should start using attractants on my soft plastics or not even bother. Thanks!

What is it you like better about the shimanos over the Lews?

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the Curado 70 because I can get it in an 8 speed and its 40 bucks cheaper. The Lews comes in a 7.5:1 which isn't bad either for pitching.

Well Ive narrowed my choice down to two reels for mainly pitching/flipping. My choices are Shimano Curado 70 ($200) and Lews Team Lews Lite ($240). I'm leaning towards the Curado 70 but my buddy keeps bugging me to go with the Lews. I don't know what to do. Any help is appreciated!

Get the Curado 201hg it can do everything and at 150 bucks it's a steal. If you take care of it will last a long time.

Has the rod glove stained any of your lighter colored reels?
