  1. I happen to see Clint’s dad every so often. I would like to see if I can get the story and some pics from him, as I am curious about this as well. I do know Clint is a very good stick and fishes in the flw. https://www.flwfishing.com/news/2018-08-06-hudson-s-culler-wins-t-h-marine-flw-bass-fishing-league-michigan-division-tournament-on-michigan-s-muskegon-lake
  2. i have tried a trailer hook on and off several times. I always seem to get that trailer hook stuck in the tongue or way in the back which makes the hook removal a pain for me, especially on pike. I guess i will give it another try. i think its KVD's burner or scorcher that i use that comes with one and always seems like trouble. Thanks for all the replies guys!
  3. How many of you will use a soft plastic trailer on a spinnerbait and if so which ones? I almost never use a trailer or a trailer hook and have a lot of success. Just want to know if im missing anything? My favorite way to fish a spinnerbait, is to burn them. I feel a soft plastic trailer isn't conducive to that.
  4. I throw the same! I've had much success on basic Gp but do very well with black, red, blue. and various metal flakes mixed in.
  5. hands down my most productive color!
  6. https://www.bassmaster.com/news/finishing-second-college-classic-bracket Article written by nolan ^^^ i don't know if this has been posted or not! Great read, i really enjoyed it.
  7. Keep it up!! I'm pretty sure my refresh button is broken and nothing at work is getting done.
  8. Has any one seen these before? I found them at a garage sale and was just looking for some feedback. The guy had a lot of neat baits. I couldnt find anything online about them.
  9. If by any chance you are located in Michigan the flint river for me at least, can be challenging. The fish seem to move around a lot more due to more fluctuating in the water level and speed. The flint also gets decent pressure here as well. Also the line and overall way of working a bait could make a substantial difference.
  10. Been doing really well with a jig lately. It is now a go to for slaying some Michigan hogs.
  11. Told myself I would work on fishing jigs. I have never had much luck on them until that's all I've been using. Currently at the top of my confidence baits now.
  12. I always forget about that restaurant down at the end. thanks for the reminder
  13. i grew up around lake nepessing. As far as i know the only public access is the boat launch.
  14. I would be shore fishing.
  15. Hey guys just thought I'd drop by and say whats up. I live in Davison and have been wanting to hit up a few of the places along the flint river and holloway. Any tips would be awesome!
  16. x2 and sometimes it's almost impossible keeping the toothy ones of em
  17. I don't mind keeping a few smaller ones every now and then. I had caught bass fever a few years back and I caught 2 big ol mommas. My phone was dead and therefore I didn't have a camera. Figured no one would believe me when i said I had caught some true michigan chunkers. Had to take em around to my buddies houses and brag. Wish they were still swimming.
  18. Crack a cold one and fish slower. Worst case I'll catch a buzz.
  19. Can't hit what you don't swing at!
  20. I buy some when they are on sale i cant say they work any better or worse than others. I use whatever cheaper at the time. Put them in front of a bass and she'll eat them.
  21. I've always liked a small jig head and grub for beginners. Catches fish of all size and shape. The exposed hook defiantly helps put some fish in the boat for a beginner.
  22. Same reason I hunt. I live to be outdoors and I love the challenge of catching bass and shooting big bucks. I also find nature to be extremely calming and reflect upon life. I also find time to talk to GOD and find I can appreciate the world HE created much better then staring at a pew in front of me.
  23. At the moment it's Bluegill, landed my largest pike to date on one.
