  1. I barley bury the hook...
  2. I just started fishing with senkos this summer and usually fish wacky rigged. I finally got around some ponds that were in need of me to fish weedless and nothing was working so I threw a texas rigged senko on. Thew past 2 days I hooked into 4 bass and they all got away as I set the hook. Am I not setting the hook hard enough? Its been pretty discouraging with me missing those fish because this pond holds some giants. Any ideas of what could help me out?
  3. I tried to quickly google this yesterday but really didn't find anything. What does it mean if a pond or lake is pressurized/highly pressurized?
  4. Holy cow, thanks for all the responses...
  5. So I recently just strung up my bait caster with some braided line, first time braided user here, its 30lb Sufix 832. I have a KVD frog on it right now. My question is, is what other baits are good to throw with braided line?
  6. It's crazy how fishing can be, they will love certain baits one day, then at the same location, they could careless for that. So last night I fished a pond by my house that I've fished plenty of times. I recently just got bait caster and decided to try braided line for the first time and put a frog on it. 3rd cast in, I get that sucker stuck in a tree. Not to mention, the frog was bought that day, I spent 20 minutes getting it out of the tree since my cast was so bad and it was on land. I need a lot more practice with my bait caster since its been about 5 years since I've used one on a daily basis, because I was very uncomfortable. So after getting that back, I tied the frog back on, and it threw it for another 30 mins, andddd nothing... I'm convinced that there is no big bass in this pond but I stay optimistic. So I grab my other pole with a spinner bat on it, anddd nothing... Then I said screw it and threw on a popper. First 2 casts, 2 fish, its crazy how things work out. I ended up catching about 5 all together in about an hour, they were all pretty small but I at least pulled some out.
