  1. X2 Or texas rigged with a light weight. When fished at the right times this thing was deadly for me last year. Bama Bug color.
  2. The thing I found funny when I was down there is that they seemed to have a minimal tackle supply and prices were considerably more than *** (almost a dollar more for a zoom superchunck for exaple) but they had PLENTY of Cabelas brand in stock. It's like they're trying to force people to buy their stuff. That doesn't work on me.
  3. Homer Speaks
  4. That's what I thought too until today. I'll rarely ever visit either one of them again. I'll go to a local shop here in town for certain things, Dicks if I need something quick otherwise TW gets all my business. They're hard to beat with the no shipping deal. I had a list of 30 things I wanted to pick up today and left with 4! lol. The bonus was my daughter had a blast checking out the fish and the animals so it wasn't a complete waste.
  5. Rohunta is open and Silver Lake (pond) in Athol is open. Shore fishing only at Silver Lake
  6. Was there today. Don't waste your time if you're looking for freshwater gear. Half of what I wanted they didn't have and the other half that they did have was waaaay overpriced in my opinion. They had 0 Abu Garcia rods. > If you like Cabela's brand though you'd be in luck they seemed to have plenty of all their own stuff. : They did have some Revos in the bargain bin. Mostly left hand. They had a right hand Premier (the older model) for $125 I think it was. I was very close but I slipped the monkey a Valium and he laid off.
  7. I haven't used the River2Sea as long as I've used the Spro but from my experience the spro rips a lot easier than the Croaker. Before I bought the Croaker I read a lot about it taking on water but I've been pretty pleased so far. I also think the Croaker is a little easier to work than the Spro, maybe because of the lighter weigt. Personally if it came down to the two I'd buy the Croaker over the Spro.
  8. That's a fat cat. And not a bad bass too. Congrats
  9. You have to be patient but you can find Powell rods on ebay for $100.00. I just got my first a couple of months ago and love it.
  10. Yikes!!! I'm with the rest of these northern guys. I'll take the snow. lol. So what's it like to catch a gator on a rod and reel anyway? I'm guessing it would take a while to get em in.
  11. Great fish, CONGRATS ON THE NEW PB! Jigging the red eye shad can be deadly. Nice job.
  12. Can't make it. I've got a tourney the next day at 6a. Have fun guys.
  13. I wouldn't know whether to fish it of frame it. A truly awesome reel. Great thread.
  14. Depending on the date I'm still in.
  15. Pete Rose didn't cheat when he broke Ty Cobb's hits record. (At least that we know of yet. lol) Let the poor guy in. He's done his time.
