  1. Stupid, yes, but they sure managed to destroy plenty of peoples lives and businesses without having any pull...? ?‍♂️ I can take every scenario of the last year and break it down right to political decisions and lack of common sense by politicians. And I was just waiting for the thread will be locked as it should, because I know that I for one almost can't help myself it's so infuriating and I find the lack of awareness disturbing. I'm out though...I'll be good. ?
  2. The answer is 90% political and 10% lack of common sense which means it's 100% political...I'll wait for this thread to be locked.
  3. 7.9 oz vs 6.7 oz though...if you want light, the Ultegra isn't the one you want.
  4. I owned a Procyon LT 2500 and it was a fantastic reel. I sold it ONLY because I wanted a Luvias FC LT and I had already spent the money I allow myself to spend on equipment. It was hard to part with it.
  5. I think he means the Fuego LT is plastic. This term is pretty vague. To say something is plastic doesn't really mean the traditional plastics people think of. I'm an HVAC Engineer in sales. Our company owns a parts store and they sell "plastic" pads for equipment...it's really a composite material capable of holding 100's of lbs of equipment. It's hardly a weak or frail material. Just because it isn't made of metal doesn't mean it's weak. In fact, these materials are often stronger and obviously lighter than metals and are not prone to corrosion.
  6. It's not really plastic...and I've been using a Fuego LT 2500 since they came out for jerk baits and top water at a creek, probably the most abuse you would put a spinning reel through and it's as solid as the day I got it. I have zero issues with line lay (they put extra washers in the box just in case but I never needed it). If you want a metal body reel it's not going to be light. Just because it's made in the same factory doesn't mean it's the same quality. Other than rumors, I see zero indication Piscifun is actually made in the same factory anyway...
  7. St. Croix Victory 7'2" MH Moderate. Sounds like a good graphite rod for cranking. I actually grabbed a Major Craft Nanoace cranking rod...love it. Not much of a fan of glass cranking rods. Too heavy and not much on sensitivity for when you want to feel contact.
  8. What's wrong with the Zillion 10? I have one and rank it up there with my Steez...?‍♂️
  9. That's not a 2021 Zillion...that's the old model. Looks like a revamped Zillion 10.
  10. Bass in my profile pic was caught on a t-rigged 3" Berkley Pit Boss. T-rig craw or creature bait is deadly.
  11. I don't think they're going to compete with the leader in fishing line which is Berkley now that they're part of the same family. And I have been loving Berkley x9 and x5 braid...it's become my go to over Daiwa J-Braid. Spiderwire in the day was all the rage. I remember the commercials and all the other products they were coming out with Mitchell. My buddy still has a couple of Spiderwire bait casters and rods in his garage.
  12. I've never had that kind of play in any of my Daiwa spinning reels. I'd say something isn't right and if you can, get it replaced.

I prefer they get used by someone rather than sit on a shelf collecting dust. That's why I take good care of them so they see the most mileage possible. I never throw them around and I use reel covers when traveling and they see seasonal maintenance.
  14. I have a 6' MF I use for skipping tubes under docs. Great rod. Held up very well and sensitive.
  15. I thought they were going to release them at the end of summer (Aug) or early fall. I can't seem to find where I saw that at the moment though.
  16. I've been using these hooks. Then I just have drop shot weights on different lengths of line with different weights. I have a loop on the end of the line with the weight and I can just change when I please or remove it completely for storage.

  18. Wow! From $4k custom swords to QVC channel turds...this thread went soar in a big hurry! ?
  19. One of my other hobbies besides fishing is collecting and modifying swords. Mainly the Japanese katana. I enjoy tsukamaki and saya customization. I am planning to build a forge and hopefully forge my own soon but want to do it in the traditional Japanese method so it will take some time to do this as you need iron sand and create your own steel (tamahagane).
  20. This same thing happened to me. I was fishing a pond when I heard a mallard going ballistic. I thought maybe a bass had eaten one of her many ducklings. Then I noticed something bobbing in the water then go down again. I ran over to see what the heck was going on and a snapping turtle of probably 40 lbs give or take had the male mallard by the head.
  21. It may take some practice and know-how and I've found a great stone to go in a normal oven. Obviously a proper oven is going to kill it, but to say it cannot be done? Never say never! LOL ?
  22. False and ... they don't make pizza in Italy, just so you are aware. Another false statement...where have you folks been!? ? NY pizza is TRASH! I was born on the south side of Chicago...and I've lived in New Jersey and had plenty of both styles of pizza. You cannot even compare a slice of NY trash to a good Chitown pizza. I lived in Missouri for a couple of years...now if you like pizza, avoid MO at all costs! They wouldn't know pizza from a manhole cover! Their big deal was freakin' Pizza Hut! They also couldn't produce any real Mexican food...when we first moved there we went to a "Mexican" restaurant and I ordered a burrito...when the waitress brought it out, I thought they brought me the wrong thing. She said no...that was their burrito...pathetic! LOL But the Chinese restaurants in MO were everywhere and some were out of this world good. BTW, my little jabs are all in good fun and the NY vs Chicago pizza debate may be perpetual. But this Sicilian will stand firm in my opinion that you cannot compare the two. Chicago style pizza all day long! ?
  23. Daiwa is my favorite brand. Was an Abu guy for many years but several years ago they started to disappoint and I tried a few new ones including Lews and Shimano and Daiwa was the one that performed the best and gave me zero problems. I own all Daiwa now from Revros to Luvias in spinning and Tatula CTs to Steez in casting.
