  1. Not really sure, maybe cuz I’ve been using other baits more. I got a lot of different styles and colors. During the night season I do bring them out. I should rephrase what I said previously. I don’t fish them as much as I used to. I just got so many different baits hard to use them all.
  2. I have caught fish on red up here in New England but I haven’t noticed a difference in bites. It’s not crazy good bites like oh red is definitely a factor. A fish here or there. I could be getting them on a jig then try a red jackhammer pick off fish or 2. Not the other way around where I’m crushing fish on the red jackhammer then pick up a jig and pick off 2 more
  3. 9 inch Ms slammer is my OG but I have stopped fishing them. I love a Psyco gill, DS ninja wake, Matt’s strong shad
  4. For big fish I’d have to say a big glide bait or a big soft bait. I’ve had my best big fish days in the spring fishing big baits. Jigs and jerkbaits also have caught me big fish in early spring as well.
  5. First kayak trip of the year. Felt good. But my back hurts, i forgot the seat. Bit uncomfortable. They only wanted a the jerkbait. Got one bass missed a good one , snagged a suckah, and got 2 jumbo yellas. Really surprised no pickerel especially at this place on a jerkbait. They were shallow on the wind blown side.
  6. Love that place! Never did much bass fishing there. I went for the trout and salmon.
  7. I’ve been catching them since last week here in MA
  8. I don’t do it either
  9. Valid point
  10. This thought just came into my head. Instead of tying a knot for the drop shot. Why not add a bobber stop below and above the hook. You can readjust the hook whenever you need?
  11. I do not. I know they work for trout, salmon and panfish. Glow jigs for perch crappies and sunnies through the ice. Glow spoons and glow beads for trout, salmon and lakers
  12. I never had electronics either not until recently, but there can be a weed bed, a rock pile that you don’t know is down there. yeaaaa dude fishing ain’t a cheap sport!
  13. That’s if you bring it to the state. But if you catch it do all the measurements and not bring it to the state you’ll be fine. I wouldn’t make it official but just knowing that I caught it is all I need
  14. Yep sounds about right! The guys that bust ass don’t catch the true giants but a drunk guy randomly throwing a spinner bait will get that record
  15. If I caught it, I’m BS’ing the place I caught it. The Quabbin sounds like a great spot to say where I caught it! d**n straight I’m not telling where I actually caught it
