  1. Whichever one I'm fishing with
  2. A common sayin is that boat stands for bout another thousand. Main thing I can say is do as much research as possible since you have plenty of time. Always do a compression check and inspect transom very well. All the accessories are really up to you. The main I see a bass boat need are nab lights, live well, bilge pump, trolling motor and some form of depth finder. You will decide how advanced. If at all possible test drive before buying. no one buys a car without drivin it but many ppl will buy boats without testing. Boat engines run better in a yard connected to a hose than they do in the water. Try to figure out how much weight you will have in boat and make sure what you pick can handle it.
  3. A lot of stuff out of stock after the 4 day sale, sucks I know
  4. Baby brush hog on t-rig. I've only used the rage craw as jig trailer
  5. Lay downs in the water, rocks and submerged grass, lily pads. Basically anything you can see
  6. Go and re-read his original post. He said 2 6v batts in series would run more hours than 2 12v batts in parallel. so the physical size has nothing to do with it. Unless the 6v gold cart batteries had more cells than the 12v. im only curious if 2 batteries run in series give more amp hours than 2 run in parallel regardless of there voltage. Which is what it seemed he was implying.
  7. That's hilarious, see something new on here everyday
  8. I understand how a series connection works, I'm a diesel mechanic. Are the amp hours only more because they were golf cart batteries? Tom made it sound like any 6v batts in series would run more hours. I just assumed all he could find were 6v batts made for golf carts. @WRB Can you clarify this for us? Thanks
  9. when you say franklin boat ramp you mean just below lake Eufaula? either way most of my success on the hooch is with jigs and t-rig worms prodding all brush and lawdowns/ rockwalls. I fish this area almost all year so feel free to ask any other questions.
  10. they wouldn't last long in Alabama, that's just goo target practice, especially after most of the folks have had a few beers
  11. My wife disagrees but as long as she's occupied I'm happy
  12. X2 on the AGM batteries. Never heard of the twin 6v in series. Tryin to understand why, might have to do some reading
  13. It is fun as crap stickin one like that. I've only done it a few times and had a blast.
  14. Will do
  15. We are different. I would be at that pond everyday for at least a week. You can bet on that. Good luck catching it though
  16. Nice fish!
  17. Idk how you took the pic but the bass looks like the size of a 3 yr old child lol. Did you weigh?
  18. As much as i believe that will work. I don't have any old plugs laying around and I don't think it would be cost effective to buy them for this purpose lol. Tryin to think of the best way to make it run down the line and strike the lure directly so that I have the best chance of retrieval. Need the knocker to be centered and tight against the line.
  19. Anyone make there own lure knocker/retriever? Mainly looking for one to dislodge single hook baits like a jig. I have some pretty heavy lead weights just curious if anybody had any tips on making a knocker.
  20. I have had the opposite experiance. While mono isn't near as bad as fluro, braid pulls out easier than any other line
  21. I reccomend braid both for beginners and because I think it's great line for most applications. When you bird nest on braid it can normally be pulled right out where other lines will tend to knot up on bird nest and require cutting out
  22. If you like to do things yourself, I like to pull the lower unit down every winter an inspect it. I also lubricate it really well to keep it soft. No need to spend 40 bucks unless it needs it. Been doin that for the past 5 years on my boat with no issues
  23. All the time, normally not in the mouth though. It's like they get mad and just run there shoulders into my cranks and get hooked. Normally there smaller than the lure itself
  24. Mine is the jig, I'm sure it's a confidence thing and it's the only lure that makes me slow down. It almost always produces for me and can be used in water from 6 inches to 80 foot. I can also mimic more than one prey just by the way I fish it. If I'm bass fishing, 90% of the time it's with a jig
