  1. When your confident you can catch a 5 bass limit. Dont matter what size. You'll learn from there
  2. Good point. The p365 is a sub compact but holds 10 rnds. While others the same size only hold 6 or 7. They also have an optional 12 rnd mag and it allows for a full grip. Really sweet gun with great sights. Academy doesn't let you dry fire so I couldnt test the trigger. If you cant tell I'm pretty interested in this one
  3. Anybody had a chance to hold/use the sig p365?
  4. Send em
  5. I've done a few and really think you should try yourself. Nothing too hard just do a little reading. The one piece of advice if you do decide is that when cleaning and prepping, once you think its clean enough clean it some more. Once you start bluing it reveals all you missed Good luck
  6. Not sure I will ever own a new bass boat. I've had several and all were paid in full. My current boat cost me $6000 it's an 18ft bass boat and I've spent probably another 1500 on it in the 3 years I've had it. Nothing major and that includes trailer matenance/tires. No idea what the market is like in Canada but there are plenty of really nice used boats in the 6-12k range in my area.
  7. Yep feels good. I remember finding my first school. Best 30 mins I had ever had fishing
  8. Some good bags being caught right now. 23 pounds won this past weekend. 18 pounds 2 weeks ago. What I hear fish are deep and being caught on big cranks. Whether or not it's worth the drive I can't say but the fish are there if you can find them
  9. Where can I get mucks for $22
  10. I tried some sunline defier armillo on my jig rod for a little while before switching back to floro. For whatever reason I could skip easier with the sunline but lost some feel so didn't like the trade off
  11. Welcome to the forums. Glad to have you here contributing but always take a look at the dates and you"ll notice this one is from 4 years ago
  12. Seems there are alot of grey areas here. I agree that the co angler deserves to be in a position to fish effectively but there are factors sometimes that dont allow this (wind for instance) but my club has a rule that both members are aloud half day on the TM, not that this is exactly enforced or even initiated by most co anglers. In my mind though say in the situation of going down a bank, I believe there is an invisible line down the middle of the boat and the co angler should not cast beyond this point until his turn, I also believe that if the boater works his way into some thick brush in order to make a specific cast then that will be HIS cast and no one else's. Your thoughts?
  13. Been pretty fortunate with the few times I've been a co angler. Do have a similar story as above though with a boater pulling up on a spot swearing it was the deal and how even if they're not biting now the fish will move in. About 2.5 hours go by and we finally move only to go about a mile and he says "dang this is the spot I was thinking of not back there" On a side note, what is yalls definition of back boating? Just curious
  14. We dont get to decide what the fish want. If they were hitting both equally I'd pick the spinnerbait any day though.
  15. Go Gators!
  16. Start running now. Don't accept any asvab score your not happy with. Look at all your options(like you are) before signing contract, make sure you are setting yourself up for what you want to do. Good luck
  17. Literally everything but a crankbait
  18. Interesting observation. You sure your bass fishing? As to the original post 95% of the time I'm fishing some shade or variation of green pumpkin. I have not found a more consistent color
  19. No to take away from original question but how do these compare to the jackal tremor head scrounger? any major improvement?
  20. Phone not cooperating but I bought my standard order. 6 dredge brush jigs California craw in 3/8 and 5 in 1/2 oz
  21. Speaking of labor day sales, you running any sales Mike? @Siebert Outdoors
  22. I looked at that and although I love my seiberts jigs this didn't look like a winner to me, I will have to try though. I wish I could talk Mike into making a shaky head out of his brush jig head. Thanks
  23. Who makes it?
  24. I agree completely I just run into a lot of brush while fishing the shakyhead but not not always enough to make me wanna pick up another rod.
  25. Looking for the best shaky head to fish in cover. Mainly wood but rock as well, so what's your favorite head style for this? While your here name your favorite trailer. Thanks
