What's you all's opinion on a 7 foot, heavy power rod spinnerbaits weighing 1/2 ounce and heavier?
I'm trying to have a rod that I can be confident with, even on those big fish lakes. I have my eye on a Dobyn's Fury. I'm trying to stay within the $100 price range.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
What's you guys' thoughts on green mono, such as Berkley XT, for jigs, t rigs, and top water (horny toads, buzzbaits)?
Works well for night time bass fishing?
For spinnerbaits and lipless cranks, would a 7' Heavy power, fast action rod be a reasonable option? What do you all think about these two presentations (Spinnerbaits and Rat l traps), on a worm/ jig rod with 15-17lb. mono? I'm considering mono, so that I can also throw horny toads and buzzbaits. Like I said, I'm looking for an all around rod for these few presentations. Considering the Dobyn's Fury lineup for this rod. Trying to stay around $100 or so. Your thoughts? Opinions?
-Thanks in advance

Thanks, you guys for the input. For example, if a real is rated for 6lb/255yds, 8lb, 175yds, 10lb/140yds (mono), would it be a good idea to give 12 lb a try, or should I make out with 10lb and rely on the drag a little more?
Wanted to know if you all knew much about the Penn Fierce or Penn Battle spinning reels. They are saltwater reels, but some of the smaller models would be perfect for bass fishing. My question is, if a reel says that it is rated for 10lb mono or fluoro, would it be okay to go one size up and use 12lb? It would let me use a little heavier line on a smaller reel. Thanks
I can understand that. every store that I go into, people tell you to give lew's a try. I bought a laser mg mcs from field and stream and I love it. Works fine whenever I have it out! I love that bps now sales the full lineup of lew's reels!
Hey guys, do you all know of any good bank fishing spots in or around Greensboro, NC? If not, could you point me in the right direction of how to find quality bank fishing spots? I mainly fish for bass, but I am willing to use live bait and play the sit and wait game for other species. However, I have more bass fishing equipment so bass is what I really prefer. Thanks for any help that you all give!
