  1. They are there...no doubt. Will you catch a larger bag of largies than smallies? Not likely, but there are some hawgs up there, just need to know where to go. Lake of the Isles area holds some nice largemouth.
  2. I've had success rigging a floating trick worm, neko, style with a small nail weight.
  3. Chatterbait. I don't even get bites. I've tried various colors, trailers, but have only tried 3/8 oz., because that's typically the size spinnerbait I use.
  4. 30# braid....if the fish are missing it, or short striking, I may add a 10-12# mono leader.
  5. Yes, these are the best I've found...just don't like the price. Z-Man needs to come up with some bulk sales.
  6. The newest one is black, with a copperish finish.
  7. *Disclosure, not trying to start an argument* I thought he was going to play at least another season before he announced his retirement, so this doesn't surprise me. He has shown that he is still very capable and a top 5 QB in the NFL. Here's my issue, why do it the way he did? I get he still has the fire to compete. But to say he has still has something to prove?? What exactly?10 Super Bowl appearances. 7 Super Bowl wins. 5 Super Bowl MVP's. 3 League MVP's. All Time leader in wins, TD passes, yards, and completions in the regular season. GOAT, arguably yes(but I'm not here to argue). #BillsMafia
  8. Strader always seems to get caught on camera missing a fish and getting pi55ed.
  9. I have 5 casting rods and 4 spinning rods. I feel like I have everything I need for the techniques I use.
  10. I still have and throw a few of those Terminator titanium spinnerbaits in 3/8 oz. You can't break 'em and they catch fish.
  11. Last spring I learned of Sunline FC Sniper for crankin'....so glad I did.
  12. I picked up a few 13 Fishing Flat Daddy's this past summer to use in the fall/winter. I'm very impressed. They have a nice tight wobble, decent hooks(I always change mine out anyway) and the colors are awesome. I used the Mudbug Punch, Tweetie Pie, and Dream Gill colors. All colors caught fish. I've actually been trying out a few different 13 Fishing hardbaits and like them all.
  13. I have the windproof Reaper and love it. It does fit snug, and requires me to use the side zipper to get on and off. I bought the medium, as the large was too baggy and too long in the sleeves. I have worn it over a long sleeve T shirt and hoodie and was plenty warm. It definitely works well as a wind breaker and sheds some water, but it is not waterproof.
  14. Sluggos.....wacky rigged can be deadly, and they are cheap. I can also catch 6-10 fish using one sluggo.
  15. The new Lew's BB1 Pro reel, 6.2:1, 12# Sunline Sniper. It's going on a Shimano SLX 7'2" glass for crankbaits.
  16. Well, if you lie to yourself like I do, there is always a sale. ?
  17. The new Lews BB1 Pro reel, 6 DT 10's, a few new buzzbaits, a couple of those Tataki frogs, a spool of Sufix 832 30#, and a spool of Sunline FC Sniper 12#. The Tackle Warehouse 20% off sale got the best of me. I swore to myself that I was going to wait until AFTER Christmas to make fishing purchases. I lie to myself all the time.
  18. I'm running the FR733C, which is a medium heavy, 7'3" for frogging. It has plenty of whip to sling the Pad Crashers and Pad Crasher Jr's a mile, and plenty of backbone to yank fish out of the slop.
  19. I'm using an Abu Garci Veritas, 7" Medium, fast, with a Pflueger Supreme XT 30. 15 lb Suffix 832 to a flouro leader. I use it for shakey heads, neds, and weightless presentations.
  20. Bubblegum or sherbet colored floating worms on a shaky head are my "go to" in stained water.
  21. I've fished there before and never pulled anything out of there that big....nice job!
  22. Which quarry? Those are some nice fish.
  23. Those are nice. Upper River...where abouts(exact location not needed), Niagara Falls?
  24. New guy here from the Lockport NY area. Longtime lurker of this forum, finally decided to join. It's nice to see a thread dedicated to the Buffalo NY area.
