Thanks for all of the input. I tried drifting shoals but couldn't keep my speed below 1mph with 4 footers so I got out of the wind hoping to run into a few stray bass. I'll hope for slightly less wind and give the shoals another shot. Tight lines

Hey everyone, I spent this past sunday on Lake Erie out of Sandusky Bay. I've had great days on Erie around the islands but that has mostly been in Spring. Sunday was a grind with only 6 smallmouth to show for the day all less than 3 pounds and all coming on a drop shot or ned rig. The lake was pretty rough so that made it hard to effectively fish shoals so we spent most of our time behind islands out of some of the wind. I'm headed back this saturday to try and redeem myself. If anyone had any advice on depths or presentations to try it would be greatly appreciated. I don't need or want specific spots just a fresh idea or two to help make a better day. Thanks!

Hey Everyone, I have a trip planned to the Potomac River in a few weeks. I will be launching in Mattawoman creek and just fishing around from there. I have done a ton of research on all of the major creeks around and I can't wait to do some shallow grass fishing. That being said, I was curious if anywhere on the main river is worth checking out? I can't find much info on it, which may be a sign, but i figured I would ask around on here. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

Hey everyone, I will be headed to the Potomac River at the beginning of June. I plan on launching in Mattawoman creek and fishing there as well as the surrounding creeks such as Quantico, Aquia, and Potomac. I just checked water temps and was surprised to see that they are only around 60 degrees. That being said I was curious if anyone could offer any insight on what stage of the spawn I can expect to run into when I head there. My guess is the tail end of the spawn and definitely post spawn, any thoughts? Thanks!!

Hey everyone, Does anyone know anything about Evans Lake near Youngstown Ohio? I'm looking for new places to fish in north east Ohio. I've been to Mosquito a few times and Milton as well. From what I know there are Large and smallmouths in Evans. Anyone have some info? Thanks!

thank you for all of the great input! I love fishing shallow grass and i never go anywhere without a swim jig tied on. I will actually be putting in at Sweden Point in Mattawoman so its going to be a decent run to get there but I have been out on the Chesapeake Bay in fairly rough water so I am comfortable getting there. If I am going to fish the grass mats there would you guys recommend the inside, outside, or holes in the grass? I will definitely target docks as well because that is my absolute favorite way to fish. What do you look for before deciding to pick up a frog? Thanks!!

Hey Everyone, Ill be headed to the Potomac River in early June this summer. Being from Ohio, I have no experience or knowledge of the area and will only have 3 days to fish. I know that mattawoman has good fishing but also a lot of pressure. That being said, Aquia creek looks good on maps but I was wondering if anyone could offer any tips on the area. I love fishing shallow vegetation and docks which seem to be abundant there. Thanks!!
