  1. So ive also heard from many people that submerging the reel in luke warm tap water over night is another way to get the deep salt that has settled into the reel out. Is this ok to do or have I been misinformed?
  2. So I just recently started saltwater fishing. I was just wondering if any experienced saltwater fishermen could outline a quick and easy way for me to clean and lube my reel. As a word of warning I did not clean the reel directly after using it which I obviously should have done. However if any one could recommend the best course of action from my current situation I would appreciate it. Also I've only used the reel twice so far since I bought it.
  3. Thank you for the response however im looking to buy a combo specifically. Im aware that overall buying separately is generally better. However I would only be interested in buying a combo at this time. Thank you for your responses.
  4. My budget is around a couple hundred bucks however any cheaper combo's that still offer a superior quality would be preferable. Thanks!
  5. With Fathers day right around the corner im looking to get my dad a nice spinning combo since fishing is one of the things that truly make him happy. Im looking to get him something really nice and was wondering if anybody had any recommendations of any combo's that they've personally had success with. I've heard that some of the bass pro combo's are very nice however all recommendations are extremely welcome. Thank you everybody for your time and guidance my friends!
  6. Thank you so much i wasn't aware such a discount existed but now im glad i consulted you fine gentlemen lol. Thank you for your time and patience my friends. Have a great day!
  7. Thank you gentlemen! I've sent out a message to the site and im planning on sending them in asap. Again thank you for the recommendation.
  8. Im new to the forums so i apologize in advance if this question is not in the appropriate section of the site. I just wanted to know if anybody could recommend the easiest and most efficient place to send a reel for maintenance and a cleaning. I know many people are going to recommend i learn how to do this myself because it will save me time and money, however at this point i would just like to send the reels to a professional to get the job done right. Also one of the two reels im looking to send in makes a winding sound when it is reeled in. My best guess is that this can be attributed to the bearing in the reel needing to be replaced or cleaned. Any recommendations would be highly welcomed. I'v been considering bass pro and even contacting the makers of the reels to see if they perform these services for they're customers, but i figured id check in the with the knowledgeable folks on Bass Resource before i do anything. Thank for your time and great luck this fishing season!
