  1. 3AM? Wow, you folks must be in a hurry! I'm planning on leaving around 8:00. For those of you who don't know, BeckieC is BassnChris' wife. We live only a few miles apart.
  2. I got tired of trying to keep up with the the demands of both bermuda and zoysia, so I replanted the entire yard with sensimilla.
  3. What Wayne said, but my personal preference is 12 gauge. I just prefer the additional protection against voltage drop, but I know it's overkill.
  4. Jeff, glad you can make it again.
  5. Been trying to get my boat ready for the trip as well. So far, I have found two nits and picked them.
  6. Gawd, this could go on for days.
  7. If memory serves, that line would be from Manuel.
  8. It's Fawlty Towers. I had the great good fortune of living in England when Fawlty debuted on television back in the mid '70s. It's one of the funniest series I have ever seen! Believe it or not, I still have a VCR tape of the whole series, although I'm not sure where it is.
  9. OK, folks I'm too lazy to go back through the above posts, so since we are getting down to the wire, I would very much appreciate a recap with regards to my boat. As everyone probably knows, I want to step out of my boat for several days in order to fish with other boaters that I have never had the opportunity to fish with. I have had very kind offers from both Dinky and Rhino, inviting me to step aboard their boats. Several of you are qualified boaters who have offered to drive my boat in my absence but I can't remember who you are. Glenn and Keri have the boat for at least one day. I know I had two other volunteers. Please remind me.
  10. Except for the occasional mouth.
  11. What they said.
  12. Eric, I'm sure you are aware of it, but for everyone else, my insult was plagiarized from the old Monty Python days.
  13. Your mother is a hamster, and your father smells of Elderberries.
  14. Yes, but Texas is in a world of its own.
  15. BassResource today reached another milestone! Today we surpassed a Member Listing of 40,000! This makes BR the most popular bass fishing website in the world! Personally, I want to say that I am very proud to be an active member of this website, and am doubly proud of the members who have made this site such a success. With your active participation in the forums and with your open recognition of the quality our Sponsors, BassResource has become THE "Go To" bass fishing site. I suppose I need to mention that Glenn also had some minimal input into making this site a success. I'm speculating that his input consisted of no less than sixty hours a week, in addition to a full time job. That's one huge ATTABOY to Glenn, and to Keri, who has to put up with him, or more probably, without him.
  16. A good CPA can keep you out of a lot of trouble that you never thought you could get into. I know. I'm married to one. Only four more days and then I get to see her again in daylight.
  17. Traveler, you are a pinko communist, your feet stink, and you don't love John Wayne movies.
  18. Other than skateboarding and bull riding, I've given up all my other hobbies in favor of bass fishing.
  19. Beckie, stay close to me, as I will be the most handsome guy on the trip and will be catching the largest bass. Great photo ops for you!
  20. Kyle, glad to have to have you aboard, but where is your Registration Form?
  21. Brad is always good, but as of 9:30 PM CDT, TBP is the best, by far. Geez, flashbacks of Amerian Idol.
  22. Did anyone just watch The Band Perry's performance? Not to take anything away from Carrie, but I was blown away!
  23. A rough estimate is to multiply the maximum amperage draw of you motor, times the voltage of your battery. This will give you the max wattage. Divide this number by 746. 746 Watts = One Horsepower. As an example, if the maximum amp draw of your TM is, say 40 Amps and you have a 12 Volt battery, then your maximum wattage would be 480 Watts. Divide that number by 746 and you get 0.6 HP.
  24. I wear prescription sunglasses. The last time I bought glasses, I bought two pair; one regular and the other sunglasses. The sunglasses were then sent out to be polarized. The polarized sunglasses cost me an extra fifty bucks over the regular glasses.
  25. My boat is parked next to my house. I NEVER leave my electronics on it. As for the rest of your questions, you will get at least as many answers, as you have questions, because so many people store their boats in so many different ways.
