  1. tbone, I'm not sure what your questions is, but BassinChris and I are towing our boats from Tulsa. It's a nine-hour drive for us. Moors has great launch facilities and covered slips for rent plus there is plenty of truck/boat parking available. As for non-boaters, there should be plenty of empty seats available.
  2. Have you tried looking at this thread? http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12401-senko-faq-%C2%A0look-here-first/
  3. For you folks planning on making the Kentucky Lake trip, I received an email today from Moors stating that room deposits are required no later than November 1. It was my understanding that the cabin/rooms I blocked would remain so until 30 days prior to our arrival. I have asked for clarification, but I just wanted to give you folks a heads-up. EDIT: I received an email from Moors today stating that deposits MUST be made by November 1, or the rooms I have blocked will be released. I know this is short notice, but Moors is such a popular place that they dictate there own terms. They are already taking reservations for 2019. When making your reservation, be sure to mention that you are with the Bass Resource group.
  4. The BBWC Championship will be held again on Lake Ft. Gibson here in Oklahoma on October 31st. I have been informed that the tournament is still in need of six boaters/Marshals. If you have a boat and are willing to be a Marshall, please contact Brad Uhl at brad.uhl@freshwatermediagroup.com

  8. Kent turned 31 today! (For the third time.) I hope you had a great day, my friend!
  9. Raider, the word is conceited, not conceded. There is a vast difference.
  10. Big C, nice to have you around. It's easy to recognize blabber. It always starts with "What is the best ..." It clearly differentiates (wow, I just used that big word again!) between those who have not bothered to research the huge volume of information available in our Fishing Articles section and/or those who have not bothered to use the Search function on these forums. This statement is not directed at you, it's just a general observation. Mike
  11. Basically, it is an indicator of the frequency of your participation on these forums. The more dots, the more participation. No prizes are awarded for frequency of participation, so the number of dots doesn't mean all that much. It just shows that you've been around a while. Unfortunately, the dots don't differentiate between blabber and useful content. Mike Goodson Moderator

  14. The best reel is the one that you like, regardless of the cost. The same applies for the rod. Go to the Fishing Articles section on this site. There is a ton of information there.

  18. Fournette is the best running back I've seen since Adrian Peterson. I think he will be one of the top three candidates for the Heisman. The newcomer, Guice, looks like he has great potential as well.
  19. Those "universal" fishing apps are not to be relied on, nor are any other "universal" guides, such as moon phase or the proverbial "best times of the day when the fish will bite" charts. Your best source of information will be the local guides, or the locals themselves.
  20. Bert, FYI, my buddies have returned from the trip. In five days with three of them fishing from one boat, they put 37 bass over 14" into the boat. At least 20 of them were over 3 pounds. They released two over 5 pounds and the 7+ I mentioned above. I wish I could have been there, but instead I spent $240 having my TM repaired and $100 having my prop re-hubbed. I think they had a little more fun than I did.
  21. Bert, my trip was a disaster. First day out I spun the hub on my prop. Second day out my trolling motor went south. Because there was no chance I could get the TM repaired on a week-end, I folded my tent and came home. My cajun cronies are catch and eat guys. Before I hit the road, the three of them had put nine keepers in the boat. I got a text today, telling me that as of lunch time they had put seven more in the boat, not counting a 7 1/2 pounder that was released. Our rule is that any bass that is five pounds or greater gets released. The lake is unusual this year because it stayed at such a high level for so long that it killed a LOT of grass. Most bass are being caught in the remaining grass in 3 to 6 feet of water.
  22. Yes that's where we are launching from on this trip. If you are referring to the Road Trip, I suggest you start with the first post on this thread for more information.
  23. Forgot to mention that we will be staying at Fox's lodge on Housen Bay on the Texas side. If you will be in the neighborhood let me know via PM. Cell phones don't work very well in that area, but at least we can try.
  24. Because I'm such a nice guy, I've decided to do a little pre-fishing for you folks headed to The Bend next March. I'm headed there for a week, starting this Wednesday the 9th and will be returning on the 15th. I promise to let all of you know within a one mile radius where the best fishing spots are.
  25. Welcome! Don't forget to check out the Fishing Articles and Videos sections of the site. There is a ton of great information there.
